Was going to, but since I'm over week after next, before I get the Schrick, it'll probably be mid 2006 before I can afford a remap - may try and get it to coincide with a meet.

So, should I decide to get one, would I be best waiting until a remap (Probably mid 2006) or would the car run OK without the remap?

Kev - can the throttle body be used with a Schrick? I see they can. Suppose I should have looked at the discussion thread first :oops:

Changed all 3 engine mounts, VF front, golf mk3 gearbox mount and a normal rear. Engine hardly moves at all now (unlike before when it tried to jup out of the car on idle!)

I'd tell you if I could figure out this bentley... all I see is the fly attaching to a toothed wheel to the crankshaft But it looks like 60Nm (44 ft lb) + 1/4 turn to me.

Kev - what about 17" x 8" rims what size can I go up to on an unlowered car? Is 215/40/17 the limit or can you go larger?

I’m making a trip to the UK and want to do a bit of a stock up… do you reckon I can fit 4 speedlines with tyres PLUS another 4 tyres (and 4 candles) in a C?
