My freshly flared out arches (56k beware, 10 pics)

7" is too narrow for the front. My 8.5's look a bit too narrow to me so i'm going to machine some spacers to fit and push them out abit -

I've got a brand new 225/35/17 Falken yours for £45. It will cost you £90 from Elite Direct to get a matching one for the other side. -
True.

Looks good, you had us all worried. Are they smoothed inside too? -
Nice to see your still loitering mate  I'm at E38 both day this year hope you can make it.

Fair enough, no problem with critism. There loads of stuff i want input on just not happy with how it was phased. To me a Kev'd car is ill conceived and of poor quality.

Looks great Bally,

Sorry, but i', really proud of what i've achieved with my car. When its discribed as a kevv'd up astra, it's gutting and you can't help but take that personally especially as i would dream of saying something like that about someone pride and joy.
-
I was making a general comment that people who prefer standard car wouldn't like my car. Seems very clear that you have a problem with either me or my car tho and i rather you spoke to me about it at E38 in person. Please don't reply to this post. PM me if you must.

Cheers mate, Delighted that you get the point the car is making. The rear end is part and parcel of the euro-look. The car wouldn't have the awesome presence without it. I said back in feb the rear end would upset some of the less innovative purists, but had to be done to compete in europe. Can't wait for E38

I love it.

Inspired by Bally's comments. Last pic has potential, car should have been further into the foreground i think. Pro pictures to follow in a couple of weeks. Hmm think i have a bash at turning one of the pic's into a wallpaper with the Voodoo Warrior text on it.

Yes they came with adapters 20mm thick. Think the answer is shorter springs. Its very, very tight.[/quote:542c0] All seems fine with the 3mm spacers. I'll starting lowering it mm by mm :)

cheers mate, thats a real compliment. :D

Look much more understated in the flesh.

Put a couple of pics in the members area. Looks like theres only a skim of filler around the edge if the arch.

I'm worried for you mate. Mine didn't look like that, hopefully just a different technic he's using.

Yep, don't have the phone number to hand try http://www.yell.co.uk but the rest of the details are below. He's the top man for painting C's. Jason Buckley @ Barry Roberts Vehicle Body repairs Retford Nottinghamshire.

I'll tell you come MOT time. No CAT, no side repeaters, no fogs, no reversing lights and no ground clearance. I can see the fail report now

Not keen on the look of lupo wipers, could remove them i suppose. For shows only of course.

I'll admit i posted a pic on the e-group of a flushed tailgate and how bad it looked. Then steve denton said i should do it so i photoshop'd my c and its started to grow on me. Its certainly very different when you see it for the first time, i had my doubts but now i love it. Looks so much more modern and clean and the rear and gives it the extra visual width that goes with the 9.5 rear wheel. Simply, it had to be done.

Me too. I wasn't prepared for the the attention it gets. I'm delighted i didn't get slagged off as i feared for the rear end mods and the roof. Thought some of the traditionalists would have been on my case by now. :D
