really not sure i trust the guy. Could be something else major wrong with it and really doubt he'd tell me. Think i saw it for sale a couple of months ago too. Guess same thing happened, sold HPI'd and buyer ran. He determined to get full market value for it. Theres another in doncaster with 67k but its shabby with masking lines in the door shuts and overspray. Looks ok but if you know what to look for its a let down or maybe i'm too fussy.

did consider it because of that V6. Prefer the S3, be nice to drop the 2.7 Bi-Turbo under the bonnet though!!!
-
 thats the one i bought!!!
-
its actually more like light grey. Wears very heavily as it's nappa. Pics attached. This one is an option but 83k on the clock. Prefer 70ish max
-
no problem thanks alot. Blue is nice but has to be black.
-
Please send me details of the black/silver. You know how it is, you get this close you can't wait to get you hands on one. Yep, about £10k.
-
got him down as low as i could, think he's waiting for an someone daft to buy withoout checking the history. i'll get the full details through from HPi tomorrow and offer him £1000 less see whats happens.

its actually the nicest example i've seen and only spotted that the front wing had been painted (nicely too). But the fact is the owner covered up the fact when i asked him out right and tried to sell it to me for the going rate. It should be £1000 to £1500 cheaper as a Cat D (and its a stolen/recovered) then i'd definate buy it but i'm not taking his lost when i trade it in.
-
sorry, made my mind up now. Got to have an S3 even if there a dull drive.
-
Did a HPI check today, bad news. Its a Cat D. Bummer, back to the trader. Hate buying cars its a mine field!! If theres a Black S3 with silver leather up for sale near you drop me a PM. Desperate to get one now, gutted was looking forward to my first new car for 7 years. :-(
-
sounds like your cheaper than an adult chat line to me
-
for a relatively standard car theres no need to go down to bare metal.

I payed £11k for the C' 7years ago so that owes me nothing other than buying new bits for it. Think the S3 is a bargain really for what you get for the money. Very different driving experience to a C. The corrado feels so much more alive compared with the playstation feel of the S3. Ride and handling on the S3 is very stiff and bit notchier than i was expecting, makes me realise how good my FK coilovers are. The gearbox on the S3 is very smooth but doesn't feel connected to anything. The biggest difference is accerating without the feel of weight transfer you get in the C and the sound of the VR welling up from a grumble to a howl. Really like the S3, great car but get the feeling its not a car i'll keep very long or get attached to. The corrado is better.

isn't emerald supposed to be good? -
Knock it off, you meant to be talking me out of tinkering too much  , obviously it will be very clean tho as that costs now't. Couple of pic of a similar spec car. My seats don't look that good after 7 years of use, but really like the colour scheme.
-
bingo. Got a 99 S3, TT's are for the chicks. No major plans, re-chip, wheels and suspension and that will do!
-
its black, has a silver interior (specific to the model) and a 20V engine but is not a VW!!! in the words of Rolf "Guess what it is yet"
-
haven't got one at the minute. Hopefully in the next week tho. Gulp, handed over a cheque for a new (to me) car today. So my C is offically no longer a daily driver and has stepped over the line into a purely showcar. Feels a bit weird to be honest getting a new car for the first time in 7 years. Obviously i'll tinker with it abit but i'm swearing here and now is not going to end up like the C :lol . I'm relying on you guy's to keep me in check if i start going overbored. Don't think theres much danger though, bloody skint!!
-
well done Furkz, picked up a copy today. Really nice style of shoot, car looks mint.

-
thanks, not had a chance yet. Things have slowed down alot in the last month or so due to being very busy at work and hopefully getting a daily driver so the C's can be purely a showcar.
-
yep, had my fair share of bitching. I believe you can only criticise if you can and have done better and the car was a daily driver until is was painted. If you owned my car would you leave it in a Pub/Tesco carpark? And theres always people who take offence to a car thats obviously had time and care taken over its appearance and feel they need to run a key down the side to make themselves feel better about being to lazy to achieve anything. No its not cheap but i'm getting there bit at a time so reckon i've saved alot owning the car 7years and not changing every 2-3 like most people.

nice job, keep the pics coming. Lots of detail shots please, i'm planning on doing the exact same thing with my VR6. Are any mods required to the radiator support cross member? Or just the slam panel?
-
Thats brilliant!! PM me your email addy and i'll send you the pics.
