That needs paint not polish. Motocraft in pudsey are very good and reasonable price wise.

lol, thanks for the encouragement. I'll definately get this thread move soon. Still tickering with the S3 ( System :roll: ). hopefully if i'm not to busy next week i finish polishing the cylinder head and crack on with the never ending job of polishing and smooth a rear beam (glad i though of that mod, not!)

fitted H&R springs, ARB's and bilsteins to my S3 and the cornering speeds are plain silly. 4x4 is the way. Looking forward to seeing this project unfold Jay. -
Hi-Spec need about 58mm from the disc to the back of the wheel spoke. Think Tarox are about the slimmest.

considered one myself. But went for the S3 because it is smaller, more economical and is very low depreciating. Maintaince on an S4 could be scary. S3 really, really lacks that V6 engine note. Small thing but you miss constantly when you live with one.

Does seems a big loss when he is still pretty much unrivalled. I do think Alonso is a great driver capable of dragging a poor car further up the grid than it deserves as only schumi could before him. But also found Alonso to be a bit of a c*ck this year. Fingers crossed Schumi shows him how to be a real champion at the end of the year.

i like the mkV gti too. But not sure i could live without 4x4 now.

going to polish up the cylinder head next week and send it for rebuilding. Start fitting the poly bushes to the wishbones and build up the subframe. Strip the steering rack down, smooth and polished the front hubs for chrome. The peloquin diff should land in the UK in the next couple of weeks to the gearbox can start to be assembled......so lots really. Should keep me busy.

very slowly but plan to get my finger out next week and start pushing on so it can make a comeback next year. Its been playing second fiddle to the S3 which is getting very close to a point where i can leave it alone. few pics of the S3, now lowered, de-chromed (a first for me :lol: ) and seat LCR front spoiler.

that sub box doesn't look like is made from 18mm thick MDF to me which is the minimum thickness you should use. Anything less will flex and sound dreadful.

Anyone know if the thread on E38 was deleted? Had a quick look at lunch but wanted to read all the details when i got home but its disappeared?? There were a lot of rumours flying around and interested to form my own opinion.

kinda the problem with my S3. 270+bhp, uprated springs, dampers, arbs and it doesn't feel that special till you look at the speedo and think :shock:

Just been reading the new issue of EVO. Brilliant driving story, Veyron vs Enzo vs Carrera GT vs Zonda. Obviously the Veyron left them for dead on the straights but to the shock of the 4 journo's blitz the Enzo in the twisties. heres a pic of the actual wheels (wheel). There on a late Polo so should be 5/100.

Not mine but a friends. (i'll post pics later). The Audi 5 spoke (competitions) which are very clean and the faces are unmarked. There is kerb damage to the lip around the outside edge but thats easy to fix with a refurb. The actual flat face is mint. Worth noting they are a painted silver finish not polished. Tyres not included, idea's on a price please.
