I’m surprised this is still for sale, I keep coming back to the advert and thinking whether I should sell my R36 -
You are too kind mate, thanks.

It really is. Wonder if I could daily this instead of my R36 🤔 -
I used a toothbrush with surfex HD almost neat then used white spirit as well.
-
Excellent work there, look forward to seeing updates. surfex HD is a godsend, I’ve been through loads of it on my re-build
-
Almost finished and ready to start on the gearbox.
-
Looks nice that, bet it’s great to have it back on the road 👌
-
Started the re-assembly
-
Some more parts freshened up and chains all done.
-
I took all the foam off and wrapped it in wiring loom tape which is a bit like felt stuff. It’s all clipped in well so shouldn’t rattle
-
Cheers Kippy, in your expert opinion, am I over restoring the car should I ever decide to enter it at somewhere like Stanford?
-
Good news on the fix, hopefully you can get this on the road this year 👍
-
Thanks, I’ve got loads more to plate. if you are stuck I can always sort it for you.
-
Cleaned, rust removed and had some bolts, brackets, dipstick tube and manifold shield plated.
-
Got the back of the block cleaned and painted and also got some of the aluminium parts blasted and painted.
-
Does anyone know how the seat base material secures at the back of the seat base please? The leather is fastened to a strip of wood that looks to push into a slot but it just pops out.
-
Thanks, might as well add photos while I can. got the back cleaned ready to paint
-
Made a start on sorting the engine. The last major job before the final re-assembly ready for next year.
-
Fingers crossed this has sorted it then. Good to know as I might send mine off while they are out the car

All back together with all new clips and new wiper arm caps. Also re-plated the wiper linkage arm
