  1. So its talking, it is possible you don't have any TDC's stored :) I think unplugging the MAF will generate a fault code, not sure how you will get on using the older versions of VAG-COM with a 3rd party interface, I've had a proper VAG-COM cable for years and its paid for its self 10x over

  2. VCDS doesn't like the Corrado ABS units, I had to revert back to using an old version of VAG-COM, think it was 9.xx which worked fine, soon as I tried to perform the same action in VCDS I kept getting comms errors. I assume you've been into option and performed a test and ensured the it comes back Ok! - Assume before you tested the TDC's VCDS pulled back information on your ECU, generally this is in a green color AFAIK

  3. I am after a known working spoiler module, from a late Corrado VR6.

My spoiler works perfectly manually off the button, but doesn't appear to raise automatically.

I am only after something that is actually known to be working as opposed to an unknown unit, I've seen them go for around £12 - £15 on here in other threads on here.

  4. Hi guys!

Really would like to firm some numbers up for this event!

Please register your attendance on the following link: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/aacgc_event_listing/Event_Details.php?det.4

I need a minimum of 20 cars for it to go ahead, lets show some of these golfs who has real power!

Will be running a show and shine, along with trophies for the winners, and highest forced induction / NA on the rolling road.

This event is open to everyone, more the merrier, priority to VR's on the rollers but always room for others at the end of the day :)

  5. The yellow temp makes no difference.

It's associated with the small plug on the fan control module. Strangely enough when the aux pumps has kicked in, if you unplug the small connection on the control module the pump switches off, but plug the connection it back in and the pump comes back on. There has to be a timed relay in the control module. It does this with the ignition off too!

Also, the aux pump turns itself off within 10 minutes (I timed it). It's just a concern it automatically comes on with ignition.

Regarding the buzzing sound, I believe it's the throttle body adapting and moving - the sounds just resonating through the intake pipes. I believe.

If the yellow sensor is unplugged, I wouldn't have expected aux pump to run after ignition is off.

The small plug on the FCM is for the aux pump so unplugging it and it stopping is expected behaviour.

Can't remember if mine runs on ignition or not. Can't honestly remember, but it running is better than it not running...

With regards to the buzzing, my throttle body also does the same.

  6. 00281 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (G68)

    03-00 - No Signal

Is the exact error code, Vince sent me a possible fix that involved joining two wired behind the fuse box, but I just wanted to know is it worth getting a spoiler module if the two are unrealted issues :)
