  1. Got hold of the bulbs and fitted them today. Still no sign of operation...!!

---------- Post added at 11:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:09 PM ----------

I had some incompetent sales rep initially at the other end of the phone at TPS but managed to get them ordered (even though it stated none in the country) when i went to pick up my service parts and engine mounts and finally got them today but still don't seem to be operational. Had to wait 3 days for a pair of bulbs

Get multi meter on the terminals mate see if you had power.

When I was fitting new switches to my visors I'd noticed all the solder joints had broken.

  2. Cant remember the last time I owned a watch, given my phone is on me all the time, and its probably vibrates at least a 100 times a day with notifications / emails I generally know what the time is already :) Even if I wore a watch, id still check my phone!

The VR6 Owners Club have organised a day to the historic home of motorsport, Brooklands!

BROOKLANDS - the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, constructed at Weybridge, Surrey in 1907 - was more than a great sporting arena. Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, home of Concorde and the site of many engineering and technological achievements throughout eight decades of the 20th century.

The Museum displays a wide range of Brooklands-related motoring and aviation exhibits ranging from giant racing cars, motorcycles and bicycles to an unparalleled collection of Hawker and Vickers/ BAC-built aircraft, including the Second World War Wellington Bomber, Viking, Varsity, Viscount, Vanguard, VC10, BAC One-Eleven and the only Concorde with public access in South East England.

Brooklands Museum Trust is an independent charitable trust whose aims are to preserve and interpret the heritage of Brooklands and to use that heritage to inspire and educate future generations.

There will be an opportunity to park your VR6 / R32 on the famous banked track of the Brooklands circuit for a great photo opportunity at an additional cost of £10 per car.

    London Bus Museum

The London Bus Preservation Trust is a Charitable Trust dedicated to preserving and restoring its collection of historic London buses and its new home in Cobham Hall at Brooklands Museum opened on the 1st August 2011.

The London Bus Museum houses a remarkable collection of around 35 buses and coaches, the largest collection of working historic London buses in the world. About two thirds are owned by the Trust and the remainder by individual members. Some buses have been fully restored and have won many awards, while others will be restored in the restoration workshops in the new building.

The vehicles are all of London origin and date from about 1875 to 1979 and are arranged in a timeline from the early horse bus to more modern buses similar to those on London’s streets today. Items of street furniture and other artefacts and memorabilia related to bus operations in London are also on display, from uniforms to ticket machines, medals, signs and examples of works of art for which London Transport received many awards.

The new London Bus Museum is a must for enthusiasts and families alike and has been incorporated into the well-established Brooklands Education Programme. There will also be the opportunity to ride on vintage bus services at special events through the year.

There is no separate entry fee to see the London Bus Museum - follow brown signs to Brooklands Museum, which will lead to the main visitor car park at Mercedes-Benz World and once you have paid your entry fee at the Brooklands Shop & Ticket Office, you have access to all the Brooklands displays and aircraft (apart from Concorde, for which an additional charge is made for the Concorde Experience) together with the new Bus Museum, which is open seven days a week (apart from a few days at Christmas).

See the London Bus Museum website at www.londonbusmuseum.com for more information.
