  1. I paid 60 for mine to give you an idea how much they are going for
  2. I've had similar issues on VR6OC as of late, but the types of bots are getting better at getting around the restrictions put in place. sneaky beggers. but good idea on the min amounts of posts(10 post minimun), I do this on the classifieds section to prevent scammers and people just joining up to sell stuff who just jog on afterwards!
  3. good stuff - its quite a common fault to be fair, dont think anyone has gotton to the bottom as to why it does it!
  4. hes a sound clip of some knackered chains! http://www.vr6oc.com/guides/sound/Chain.wma
  5. Stealth racing do an immobiliser delete from the ecu. Can't remember how much it is off top of my head - also the ring that around the ignition barrel that picks up the chip in the key has been known to slip down causing the car not wanting to start so worth having a quick look at that too?
  6. on my golf I had a little docking port in my glove box - never knew what i was for - presumed it was for syncing the fob or something?
  7. I need to do my OBD2 conversion this year!!
  8. Where does the headlight percentage sticker sit? cant recall seeing one on mine? I thought got this warning one "Engine Bay Warning Sticker (1990 onwards)" for the voltage... Pete
  9. Just ordered some bay stickers from there, very good quality and speedy delivery!
  10. maybe - try to disable it for a few moments and see if it helps with the site. It could just be a feature, or a peice of .js it doenst like on this forum - easy to rule out, if it fixes it, you should be able to add 'exceptions' into a whitelist in micro security... its probably something running in the background that interfering, do you have any toolbars loaded. or have you tried a different web browser?
  11. one thing I have noticed is that the page sizes are massive... 527.679688 kilobits - Are you not using mod_deflate or gzip to keep the file sizes down? I also see 16 seperate .js script loading as part of the page source - If these scripts are accessing external sources - I.E google ads, facebook integration etc... then this will slow the page loads down and eventhough you see "waiting for the corrado forum net" it may well be a java script attempting to contact another hostname. Try clearing out your temp internet files / flush your dns too ... (ipconfig /flushdns) and see if that helps - If you have AVG/ other AV installed turn off the stupid link scanner stuff.
  12. You know me Kev, start from the bottom up! If you dont do these simple jobs to begin with, it'll bite you in the ass at some point down the road.... but I do have bling wheels and coilovers, however, I am still doing all the little jobs before its on the road :)
  13. I think its very old to be honest. A number of brake lines have already been replaced, and ive replaced 3 since I've owned it, the car hasnt had any TLC in years and i've found myself doing every sh**y job a corrado has to throw at ya :) I think I'll just stick to the DOT 4 as I've already bought it now - did see the thread about not using DOT5 though... I'll be only using the car for weekends anyway and it will be a long before I pluck up the courage to drive it keenly having driven a punto 1.2 for the last 2 years + :(
  14. Ahhh - not tracking it in the short term.... just on the roads, although I have fitted 288's + braided hoses so as and when etc... I've just bought a litre of stuff from VWSpares.co.uk - will that be enough to flush through all the old crap and fill the system up? the old stuff I've drained out so far is almost black! Thanks. Pete
  15. Will get your names down guys... Vince has said we can run around 25 - 27 cars.
  16. I think thats the part number! http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=808
  17. Hi All. fitting new lines at the weekend, and giving the brake system a good flush... any idea what's the best DOT 4 brake fluid to go for? (Im assuming DOT4 is still the best type of fluid to go with having ABS etc...)? http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=dot+4+brake+fluid&_sacat=See-All-Categories
  18. Just bought a new fully reconed box with g60 final drive too ;)
  19. There wasn't much that car wouldn't chew up on the road and track.. was even faster in the mk2 shell!
  20. Proof is in the pudding.. So here's a video of a standing start at the nurburgring The black VR is schricked up running around 210bhp... :)
  21. Yep. My 2.9 low comp lump running wossners was pushing out 221bhp / 204ft lb. Schrick vgi, stock cams, schrick bvh, bmc CDA, raceland manifold + remap. It didn't seem gutless, power was there on demand but I did have g60 final drive fitted too! Shame I wrote it off before I got chance boost it.
  22. Sounding good. I was proper chuffed with all my cars that had been 4 wheel aligned at stealth! Still fitting by braided hoses... Had to replace 3 brake lines in the process :(
  23. Thanks mate I'll give it ago :)
