I can beat that! It cost me 1.5k when i wrote off my VR6 off there... track closed for 45 minutes :)

Thanks RedTyphoon - Unfortunatly, we are at risk of this event being cancelled due to a large number of people dropping out when we wanted to take deposits to firm up numbers... Stealth Racing require a min of 20 cars running to open up on the Sunday and we are WAY off that mark, dispite a greater number of folk who said they would attend when we first arranged this :) So unless more people show an interest over the next couple of weeks to get the numbers up, i'm afraid we will have to return peoples deposits and postpone until later in year. Been troubleshooting why my ABS doesn't work and when connected to vag com it threw up corrupted info etc... Also my abs light doesn't illuminate at all... Traced everything back and found corrosion on the abs ecu pins / plug that I'm going clean up tomorrow which will fix the issue :) if not, I've already bought a new ECU and ABS lamp! Really need this sorting so I can MOT it...

My Golf used to run upon ignition off, but I'm not sure if this was an OBD2 thing? I did speak to Vince yesterday who said he had 2 Corrado VR's and they did not run the pump on ignition off, and one had been on the rollers so I imagine was running upto temp.

I know that sensor is OK, as the fan and aux pump does run together when ignition is off when the car is running hot.... its the function where the aux pump runs on it's own on ignition is off that doesnt work... Pete

Should be under your gear gator mate, you should be able pull the trim off to reveal the plug

I suppose the next thing to check is that the FCM is receiving power when ignition is off? Anyway of checking this?

No worries pal, I've not done a thing this weekend after having a discography on Friday. Still stumped though! All fan speeds working.. Bridged the rad sensor and also the black sensor on the stat housing. The only thing I've not been able check is the FCM. But unsure what actually 'tells' the pump to run on it's own after ignition is off.

I'd sell my VR any day for an R32!

Hi all. In trying troubleshooting my aux pump issue, I came across this wire that's unplugged by the top of the fuse box! Any ideas? Cheers Pete

Wires look ok... How do I know if I have the 'updated' one? Mine has 2 fuses in, no aircon.. With one plug and small plug?

no problem :) looking forward to driving the corrado at some point! its been nearly 3 years since i've driven one of my own! Right, I bridged pin 1 - 4, and the fans and aux pump kicked in! now... I was under the impression that the aux pump should run under certain conditions on it's own? it did on my previous VR6's and does for other VR's i've seen, without the fans running.... so. what would control this particular function? Is there also a way I can test each fan stage is working? Not entirely conviced I am seeing the fan kick up the different stages?
