Not sure if anyones got an R32 in here at the mo, but Phatvr6 will cover this I'm sure ;)
-
LupoBabe, Welcome :D Any more info?!
-
And our survey says: Altough, he said I can pay in installments.. Mind you I meant the work to be done too aswell, and to skim the head. He said parts were around £190
-
ZippyVR6, nope! He's rang me now saying 4 hours labour and for parts is £680 :|
-
The quote cheered me up after seeing the car!
-
 So true
-
Very hot Sam
-
Yes, I'm sure that's what he said.
-
He said it's blown.
-
Asked the blokey and he said he'll sum it all up in the morning  sciroccotune, that's what I thought :? , I'm so bloody confused
-
Walesy, Well they finally rang me now and told me the head has blown, so new head needed and they need to reskim the hear or something like that.,, How much pennies will it cost you reckon?
-
Ok, they havn't bothered ringing me back  Just speaking to a mate and he said he's very sure that the problem is the piston rings have a hole in them or the piston, and this problem can be got to by not having to take the head off..is he right? If I find out they've took the head off when they've not needed to I'm gonna go fkin mad.
-
Looking tidy mate :) :thumb right:
-
Double JD's please :D

Socrates75, know what you mean mate! Had the comments of "scrap it" which have f**ked me off
-
Boo!
-
Right, just come from there and they're taking the head off. Remember when I said I went into that bollard not long ago? Well that almost bust my power steering pump and it also knocked off a bracket on my radiator. They're gonna ring me at 4:30 when they can finally tell me the prob.

Cheers mate :) Yea, I know very little about cars, and the only reason I took it to a garage was because I was fed up of seeing outside not being driven. Good idea about going to night schooling, I've often wondered about that. Well I'm gonna pop down there in a bit to see what actually is happening with it...
-
Ahh, that very post has made my decision... I will keep it as a 16v, I will see what the garage say what is exactly the problem is and I'll get a price from him, then I'll post up on here to see wether it's worth getting another 16v engine to put in. Thanks for replys guys :)
-
Supercharged, thanks a million, was just looking for that but couldn't find. Yandards, Yea, Im going 16v now :)
-
Yea true, I know what you mean about 18 year olds being happy, I couldn't be any more happier than what I got. Just I want a change for some reason. Ok, Ok, I'll just get this one sorted out and keep it a 16v then :) :-P Then I'll sell it and buy a cheap valver then put another engine in.
-
Thing is, I think it's the same value as a normal 16v anyway, that's why I'm thinking of doing it. I really do want to keep it standard, but it's annoying cos I want faster Rado!
