I'm aware of 8 orders having placed for new Scirocco's in the three VW sites I have visited this week. 6 of the 8 have been ordered by women 4 of them have been ordered in white with truffle leather and comfort pack (thought it was supposed to be a sporty car) 3 of the 8 have been ordered by people trading in Touaregs :confused4:

Ahhh, the SLK55 - generally acknowledged as the worst car Mercedes have produced in a very long time. Monumental na engine dropped into a car which cannot cope. Friend had one of the first in the country, think it was probably the first to be part exchanged as well - utter piece of crap, nasty, lifeless steering, stupidly poor body control, far too nose heavy - looks good and sounds great though. How can a company produce something as bad as this and then turn out an awesome car like the CLK Black Series is baffling

Looks good, have seen the transporter before, apparently fitted with a full competiton spec 300SL engine and was good for 120mph. When are you visiting the Hyundai museum :D

This weeks Autocar has a very positive test of the Scirocco (in Viper green) against the 1 series coupe. Must admit it looks good in this colour

Ordered the Zaino this evening. Going to be interesting to see how the results compare to wax - if its as good as I'm hoping the waxes for the Nugget will be up for sale :D but will probably keep the Saab and Passat waxes purely because I enjoy waxing and experimenting with different combinations

Jim - I still love the Dodo Juice but always willing to try something different, Zaino will have to be very, very good to steer me away from Dodo :D

As mine has single stage paint I'm thinking of the Z3 Finishing Kit - about £58.00 but seems like it will make my countless waxes redundant - just means stripping everything off and starting all over again. The bloke I'm talking to runs www.pro-detailing.co.uk and has been incredibly helpful

Been reading lots of very positive things about Zaino and been offered a good deal on one of their kits. Seems a bit fickle to surface prep and fiddly to apply but thats almost part of the fun. Anyone tried it on their Corrado?

Lets hope the launch is prepared better than for the Passat CC. 80% of CC's are expected to be diesel and in GT spec, every UK retailer has to have one car for launch so its obvious what they have been sent - 1.8 turbo petrols in standard spec. All UK spec GT's are sitting at the port in Emdem on 17" alloys when they should be on 18"s. Talk about not being able to arrange a *iss up in a brewery, mind you they can't really get the Scirocco launch wrong with only the 2.0TFSi available this year

Very popular with the females working in Volkswagen Group - only seen one bloke driving one (with the hood down) and he looked embarassed (and stupid)

It looks OK if you like the look of a car that has been put on a fast wash cycle, looks like its been shrunk in the wash, some of the detailing around the hood mechanism is very poor in comparison to the 1 series convertible

I wouldn't see anyone making a profit on a Scirocco - maybe running one for a month and breaking even is a possibility. If I ordered one it would need to be in Viper green

Picked up several of the first preview brochures today, not much detail in it but does open up in to a fairly decent 3ft x 2ft poster

Gutted for you. Theft is bad enough but topping that with wanton vandalism is even worse.
