  1. like it says, or can the standard one be dyed or anything? as id love to have a completely black interior. (no chrome bits in my car !!) cheers Brett
  2. cheers, my mates got a carpet cleaner though - my give that a go in situ if its got a nozzle thingy new headlining - 400 quid from stealers !!
  3. can any photoshop experts help me by modifying a pic of my C - i just fancy seeing what it would look like with a red colour coded grill with a black badge before i get my one and only grill sprayed !! (just fancied a bit of a change) cheers
  4. alrighty peeps my c is using water somewhere and i will get round to checking all the hoses etc at the weekend but is the warning light supposed to flash for a couple of seconds then stop when you kick the car over?? or is it just doing that because i have a leak somewhere? cheers brett
  5. what is the webby of GPC as i cant seem to find out what section it is mentioned on the forum or on google??
  6. for some reason the leads for the 16valver are twice as much as the G60 ones !! is it best to buy the 8.5 mm ones or the 8 mm ???
  7. alright peeps i need a new set of ignition leads as ive mullered one changing the plugs (dont ask) i thought i might as well get some pukka performance ones, what shall i get and where from?? do they have any downsides other standard ones?? cheers brett
  8. alrighty peeps, (sorry if been posted before but couldnt find anything in the search) My headlining really lets down the car, whats the best way to clean and the best stuff to use, i take its better to remove the headlining from the car but if you do take it out is it easy to get it all back in place without saggage ?? cheers brett
  9. its in last weeks "special offers" catalogue - £99 plus vat for the pair - most things in the offers catalogue sell out within a couple of hours - dewalt drills etc but are usually available the next week for a little bit more
  10. alrighty peeps just thought it might be of interest to someone, they dont look too much kop but at £99 much be worth it if your seats are knackered Brett (apologies if in wrong section)
  11. was in the doctors a couple of months ago (some may remember my "blood clot on bum" post!!) and i was literally screaming in pain and i had to wait over an hour on the razor blade seats and there was these old gits in there who kept tutting and moaning everytime a young person was called in before them - i very nearly chined them when they tutted as i limped in - i havent been to the doctors for 10 years and i bet they go every week like for a day out - just because they are old / fought in the war, doesnt mean the world revolves around them. and there was Gold Rover 25 parked outside - i bet it was theirs !
  12. Tempest, i havent got the foggiest what people think when they see your mk1 rocco pull up but i should imagine its along the lines of what the fook is that !!! ive never seen such a animalistic looking motor :onfire:
  13. alright peeps i was in a petrol station yesterday and some old fart called me a bloody boy racer (im 30 !) because he got in the wrong lane and i wouldnt let him butt in front of me in my quicker moving lane (he went on to put 7 quid in his rover 45 whilst i put 48 quid in my rado but thats another story) but anyways it got me to thinking IMO the Corrado has never been or never will be a boy racer car due to it being expensive when new and expensive now to maintain, but its funny how also IMO that the traditional boy racer cars of the late 80's and early 90's are no longer driven by boy racers, think RS Turbo, Astra GTE / GSI, Renault 5 Turbo's, 205 GTI's etc most of them id say nowadays are driven by 30 plus people who can appreciate the merits of the cars and its funny how the status of these cars has changed from boy racer mobiles to modern classics, or perhaps its just me, i dont feel embarassed in my £1500 H reg rado when im parked up against say the likes of a new beemer and it would be the same if i had a mint RST or GTE. I would much rather spend 5 grand on a rado or a GSI than some poxy late plate saxo ramble over (by the way ive never taken my rado over 3500 revs so i definately cant be called a boy racer!!)
  14. cheers, yep i dont have the slightest clue about mechanics !! the rado is the first car that ive ever tinkered with - all my other cars have been late - ish models that are better just sent down the garage.
  15. alrighty peeps my mate rekons you are supposed to use a torque wrench when putting a steering wheel back on?? cant see it meself but thought id check as im changing my 16v wheel for a vr6 jobbie at the weekend??? cheers brett
  16. Doh ! I just remembered i saw the rarest car ever made !! The Queens new State car - apparently Bentley made it from scratch for her at a cost of a cool 8 million I saw it and her once down the side of the Unilever building in central london - was a bit of a shock on the way to work at 7 in the morning seeing the queen !!! Security was very low key and i walked within about 20 feet of her
  17. Alrighty peeps ive just noticed that when i use my sat nav, my speedo is showing that im actually 2 to 3 mph faster than the speedo on the sat nav. I take it this is VW covering themselves etc, but do they actually use timing devices when testing 0 - 60 times or do they use the speedo because this would mean that published times would actually faster than in reality if they went on the speedo??? it doesnt matter because all things are relative because i take it all manufacturers do this as my corsa van is 7mph out at 75mph !!! brett
  18. Ive seen an enzo in the flesh and i really dont like them. A bloke round the corner from where i used to live had a F40 and that really is a proper car, ive never seen a car move like it - im not talking about speed just the way it moves and hugs the ground, you can hear it coming from half a mile away and it rumbles towards you like a tank, best car ever made IMO even with the 80's OTT styling
  19. tickford capri's are actually a good motor - very rare nowadays, i prefer the brooklands myself looks wise, but a capri with a testarossa bodykit - you can just imagine who drives it !!
  20. also down my local town there is an absolutley mint example of: . . . . . . A capri, with . . . . . . A testarossa bodykit . . . well nice !!!
  21. One of dads mates used to have one of those beemer M1's but i was too young to know about motors so i cant remember what it was like also a kid in my class at schools mum had a 1/4 of a million quid bentley convertable and used to drive it down the village, scrape the wheels and dump it anywhere, couldnt care less about it!!
