:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: Well done mate for getting it sorted!. Get it put back together and get some proper pics up :D -
Ah ARZ, cheers mate. I'll take a look :D :thumb right:
-
Bananawhip, where did you get the chrome elbow pipe on the intake?
-
Aye i'll take a look Timbo. I'm sure the end that connects to the centre box its just a plain piece thats possibly slightly flared (with slits) then just clamped. As for the CAT end i cant remember, i'll take a look.

Sorry to hijack. But on my previous 8v rado it did used to do this ABS self test. But My 93 VR doesnt do it. The light will come on when turning the engine on as the pedal will vibrate slightly. But when i drive off it doesnt test again. No errors on VAGCOM. Is this 5mph test just something the later corrados did?
-
I've got one, i'll try get a length measurement for you over the weekend. The diameter is indeed 2.25". However the pipe from the centrebox to the CAT (one in your pic) was cut down to fit, so it will be shorter then purchased. But you'll have to cut it down anyway so it wont be a problem.

I love that Passat 8)

What maybe a good test is, opening the bonnet and turn the wheel from lock to lock to see if it is the rubber top mounts creaking, it probably will be them, but worth checking. Doesnt silicone spray dry after a while, if so i'd use something like WD40.

If you mean the caps inside the engine bay then yes you can take them off whilst the car is on the ground. However dont remove them, then jack the car up as the suspension will drop and you'll have to get the geometry set back up.
-
You havent by any chance been adjusting the coilovers? Lowering or raising the coilovers will knock the geometry out. Or maybe one of the cheapy coilovers is leaking and sagging

I was parked outside my gf's work waiting for her to come out. When the security guy came to have a word, i assumed he was going to ask me to move. But he said 'I used to have one of these', he then took a few steps back and said 'Those lines still look good' 8). He was an older guy and went on to say he used to have a VR6 and before that had a valver. :D I asked him what made him sell the VR and all he said was 'Finances' There was no need to say anymore.

H reg Nugget yellow valver, with FK white and red rear lights, spotted parked on Green Lane in HaltonD Looked sweet :D

The Corrado is just a much more mature car then the Supra. I love supras but they have a touch of 'boy racer' image to them, especially when they have tat attached to them  -
Has your 'rado been mistaken for anything?
Critical_Mass replied to Stevo-M's topic in General Car Chat
How about 'Your car looking like the one from Knight Rider' FAIL! DOH! -
Ah thanks Reggit, i stand corrected. I knew i'd get them the wrong way round
-
I think its along the back edge of the engine bay, back and to the right of the engine.
-
dude, what one is the water temp sensor as there is three in a row? also does this speedo sensor sit ontop of the box, fron or back of the gearbox?? Think its the blue one mate. Use the search it will have been covered loooads of times :D Not sure exactly where the sensor sits, sorry.

Rosstech dont work, trying to read engine codes...
Critical_Mass replied to -Neil-'s topic in Engine Bay
yup. Was using it again last night too and it connected first time no probs. All i did is boot the computer with the cable plugged into the USB port and the car. Then ran VAG COM, went to options pressed test on COM 3 (the port the cable was plugged into) and voila!
