  1. First problem probably the temp sender. The second problem sounds like speed sensor onto of the gear box is dud.
  2. Which other ones did you get?
  3. In what context are you using the words 'lurve him'
  4. Got to agree with Leon tbh. You'd only be moving to another car with its own problems. If its mechanically sound id try spend the cash if you can on getting the body work up to scratch. Good luck with what ever you choose though :D
  5. Here is a pic of the smoked and red rear lights. Maybe not to everyones taste but i prefer them. :D
  6. Thats what i said isnt it
  7. Ok noted ^^ I'll give what you recommended a go. :D

    vr6 cams

Someone more knowledgable could answer your question fully, but unless youre upgrading i cant see why you would replace the cams :confused4: The rattling will more likely be the chains, how many miles has the car done?
  9. 1, Rinse the car 2, wash with a microfibre 'sponge' using megs cash wash (forget the name, but its blue) 3, Wash wheels 4, Squeegy (spell) all car with car squeegy 5, microfibre cloth to finish off drying off, inc inside doors and wheels 6, Clay bar if necessary otherwise straight to 7 7, spray wax onto the wheels - leave for 10 mins 8, Wipe wheels down 9, Megs 3 step Paint cleaner/polish and wax Job done! I highly recommend the Meguiars 3 step paint cleaner/polish and wax. Even weeks later you can just wash the car and it looks as though you've just done the megs 3 step on it. :D Excellent stuff. The wheel wax may help to protect the wheels against brake dust a bit more.
  10. Cant see the pic at work unforunately. Once you've unscrewed the gear knob. Pull up the plastic square the gaitor is attached to (one with the Karmann badge on). The gaitor along with plastic trim can be lift off. Turn the plastic trim over and you'll see the screw the gaitor is fastened to the trim by. HTHs
  11. I'd image alot on here would say G-Werks. I have had dealings with Jabba before and had no problem with the supercharger they rebuilt for me. Though i only really went to Jabba because G-Werks was alot further to go. Saying that you can remove the charger yourself and post it to G-Werks if distance is an issue.. not something i thought of at the time
  12. Not too sure. The bloke who did mine (post above yours) took one FULL day to do mine. Suppose it depends what your having done. I had alarm immob install all locks wired up to alarm, internal sonics, full closure. i didnt have something like remote start fitted.
  13. BOLLOX just lost my post. Well here's the short version... Neil try rebooting the computer with the cable plugged in, try pressing the 'LED' button then the test button. Pulling the cable out and then back in and press test again. I managed to get it working tonight, albeit when i tried again it did the same as you said, but trying again and i got it working. I was using version 303.1
  14. Cant see it being the switch if the lights ARE work albeit only on one side. Is it an aftermarket loom or factory? I had this issue on my last MOT it was the relays that had water ingress. :( Replaced them and all was fine.
  15. Thats it, if the other 2 didnt have bolts they'd look equally good.
  16. For those in the Yorkshire area try - Motolectro Vehicle Systems, the blokes name is Maximillian Pitts. He's based in Leeds, but he's a mobile alarm fitter so can come to you and fit alarm at home or at work even, really does know his stuff and he did a great job on fitting my Autowatch alarm/immob. He also came back a few times when i thought it was broken - was just me being a numpty. He may even be willing to travel outside Yorkshire. Tel - 07767838052
  17. I'd also say the bottom wheel. Its more simple then the other 2, which i think would look better.
  18. Unfortunately taking the bulb out wont work on the MOT tester... unless he's stupid. If ABS is fitted to the car the light must work.
  19. Neil, i currently have the same problem. If i plug the lead in and then test each com port it says 'not found' (or like) for all the usb port bar the one its plugged in to, as expected. But the one it is plugged into it says the same thing as youre getting. Its funny cos i've installed vag com before and its worked fine. I dont recall doing anything different to get it working. Im going to try again tomorrow.
  20. Filled up with some Tesco 99ron yesterday. The car feels a little more eagar then before.. though that could be psychological.
