  1. Here's a quicky - The black cone shaped clips that hold the rear cards in, where can i get them, do VW still do them or is there somewhere else? One of my rear cards keeps coming unclipped and it looks awful as well as driving me mad!
  2. Cheers VR6. Seems odd that they used a pipe from the intake pipe to just hold it still.
  3. Hi all, I fitted a new ISV damper pot on my VR over the weekend. As you know it has 2 pipes coming off it at the bottom, but it also has another pipe at the top leading to air intake pipe. Now i noticed the new pot doesnt have a hole where the pipe attaches. So i thought i would carefully drill a hole. However, i noticed that on the old one it seems to be a a dead end (checked by putting a small drill bit into the hole and seeing how far i can push it in) and i cant feel the sponge in the pot, it just feels like im hitting plastic. What is this pipe for that connects from the air intake pipe to the top of the damper pot and is it needed? Chyeeers! :D
  4. ^^^ :notworthy: One reason i love this forum. :D
  5. Have you tried some hot water and a decent car cleaner?
  6. OWNED! 'Fcking swallow my dogs...' That is one beast of a motor. I'm loving that! 8) By the sound of it at the end that little 'race' had prompted him to get a blower fitted to his motor.
  7. Agree with the above ^^ its sounds like its worth just changing the cross member rather then breaking it.
  8. Cant see it costing that much to get another cross member, try looking for a decent secondhand one for a hell of a lot less the £600. Then you just need to get it fitted.
  9. Random! I fancied a change to Pacman  I love Roadrunner or rather old time Warner Bros cartoons, but i like Pacman too! For the record that site does have parts you can get cheaper over here and are available second hand, but it does have parts that are a pain to get hold of over here (the breather pipe i was after for example)
  10. http://www.corradoparts.com/ American based, but reasonable postage to the UK for the item i purchased standard 7-10 day delivery, with a faster delivery available for a little more cash. Parts are new, but also second hand parts available ( they currently stock the instrument surround WITH the corner screw covers AND also early headlight switches) Take a look.
  11. I bought the breather pipe that is between the inlet pipe and and the cylinder head from here http://www.corradoparts.com/ Yes its in america and that one pipe wasnt cheap considering its just A pipe. But it beats buying the inlet pipe as well for over double the price. The site could be useful for other item, such as early headlight switches. Again not cheap but you CAN get hold of one :D WIll post this site into the suppliers section
  12. The key is to use a wide ish screw driver and a hammer to get between the hub and the plastic, then just user the hammer to knock it out.
  13. Thats moe then a concept isnt it???? Saw one of these parked up down the road from me, same colour too (although probably not a gold coast Ed), or v similar. Looked fantastic 8) i'm really loving it :D
  14. If you were to sell how much would you be wanting for them?
  15. Oops my apologies Mickey, i was remembering it being under VAG-COM itself. Sorry dude.
  16. Cheers David. Yes there is just the immob and stereo (memory) drawing power. As long as it is normal for it to drain in a couple of weeks thats ok. I didnt get a key with my alarm, ill check the siren to see if theres a switch for a key on there. As i say the car will be off for a matter of months, possibly until next october ish, could it be that i will possibly need a new battery sometime them? I'll check the current across the battery and see what it reads. Thanks again David
  17. Hi guys/gals. I took my rado off the road in October, where it will be sat in the garage for a number of months, but it does get started every so often. However, i have noticed the battery will go flat after a couple of week. I went to start it yesterday and found that the battery was that flat the digital display on the dash wasn't even showing the time, so ive had to stick it on charge. This is the first time its been so flat the dash isnt displayed, but normally the car will not start due to lack of battery power. It does have an aftermarket thatcham alarm fitted (cannot remember the make at the mo), but with it being in the garage locked away, i dont set the alarm but the immobiliser will set on its own. My question is, would the immobiliser being on and nothing else make the battery go flat after a couple of weeks? If not how do i check if something else is draining the battery? Cheers Gaz
  18. Its within VAG-COM. I found more success with the abs on VAG-COM version 303.1
  19. To be honest if theres power going to it and no sound (assuming the volume is turned up ;) ) then i would maybe think its the head unit at fault. There's nothing between the speakers and the head unit to stop it from working.
  20. What engine, smoking through the exhaust?
