  1. Oh right, apologies. Didnt realise i could do that. Couldnt find bugger all before.
  2. Well, didnt seem to be having much look with cars recently. Been reduced to only one car for the last month or so (i know its terrible isnt it, one car!!!). The girlfriends lupo had a misfire thats taken me a while to get sorted. Luckily tonight i got to the bottom of the issue, it was a dud HT lead that was causing the problem - despite it being a new set from ECP, i will take them back for a refund. Anyway, literally, just as i had just finished messing with the lupo the GF rang saying that car wouldnt start and there were no dash lights and she had to use the key to get into the car. So i shot down to her work to take a look. Immediately knew it was a dead battery that was the issue. RAC came out and checked the battery, it didnt have 1 single volt left in it. So got it charged enough to start the car. The GF is convinced she didnt leave the sidelights on all day, the RAC bloke was willing to go round checking for anythin that was draining the battery. But we put it down to the lights been left on, so we'll see in the morning. Hopefully it will start in the morning :? Shouldnt a battery have lasted more then 4 years, its a Bosch one btw? Can anyone recommend me a new battery, preferably one with a little bit more oomph!
  3. Really need the posts sorting into the most recently replied to, as i cant find any of the usual threads!! :D
  4. Got it sorted!!! woohoo!!!!!! Was a simple fix too. Well yesterday i took out the sh!te chamion plugs and replaced them with Bosch, it made an improvement, the car revved fine and could be driven. Though, it hesitated and at idle it was a little lumpy. After scanning the car and through talk with my trusted mechanic, it was thought that cylinder 2 was the one that had the problem. I was advised to pull HT lead from cylinder 2 whilst it was idling. It made no difference to how the car idled but i did see it sparking. On the off chance, before getting a compression test done, i put the previous HT leads on and BINGO, car now running fine. It would appear the new set of HT leads i got from ECP, one of them was duff. So i'm going to go back to ECP and see if they'll give me a refund - what are my chances?
  5. Try get them repaired mate, you'll be kicking yourself if you dont at least try to get them fixed. If it turns out they cant be, then least you can say you gave it a go and wont regret it later.
  6. Another thing notice - apologise Andi. Noticed when ive just clicked on the "Exterior" page, all the threads are in numerical/alphabetical order. Could do with been in date order, bar the stickies obviously :D
  7. Personally id get compo so you can get another set. Like the bloke said, he'd give it a go but cant guarantee anything. If the wheels arent a rare set then i'd look towards getting some more.
  8. x 2 (in regards to the new posts colour, a nice orange would stand out). I responded with quote to Billcors post which also had a quote in it itself. Though when i pressed reply with quote it only showed the last message, when it should be the last message and any quotes that were in that post - i understand theres a quote limit. lol did that make sense?
  9. Thanks Andi! I got the same message RW1 is reporting, i got it when i tried posting in the off-topic section IIRC.
  10. haha. Tom you play dirty!!! haha! I really must get back into playing this, havent played for a while.
  11. I see the member status' are back :D but could i have my "subscriber" status back, pretty please :D
  12. Not at all mate :( see link for others http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9388940.stm Never mind a year to recover, according to the article there's doubts he'll continue on in the sport. If he doesnt return it will be a damn shame, not particularly a Kubica fan but he is a good driver and i would put him down to challenge at the front.
  13. Yup and its bloody handy too. Especially when you have lupo/tt wipers that can strain if the screen is too dry. So good to be able to allow more time between swipes.
  14. Sorry to be a PITA Andi Noticed that when you click edit post you cant underline, change font to italics or bold etc. You can only do it when you initially write the post. Oh and Mods need their usernames in orange again, just to highlight them us normal members haha. I'd understand if you told me to pish off haha, dont mean to pick the new forum apart. :)
  15. Andi - are the member ratings going to be reintroduced - newbie, donator, subscriber etc?
  16. aah... glad you said that. I did think they looked bright in the pics kempy posted but put it down to the pic itself. May go for red instead. Dug out my dads soldering iron and found a bag of 5mm LEDs and resistors, though not sure was spec they are, so may buy some more anyway. I'll go back round to maplins tomorrow. Nath, what about the resistor, a) What does the resistor do and b) where do i solder the resistor in relation to the LED. Is it 12v LEDs and resistors that are required?
  17. I like how you get sent an email now when you're close to your inbox limit. Before you didnt necessarily now you had an email waiting to be released due to your inbox being full.
  18. i dunno, it looked ok before. But i think it looks more funky now. Bar the smilies... they suck b@lls imo
  19. You'll get used to it mate. Though i got use to the avatars been on the right >>>> They're back on the left again now.
  20. Sorry Adam, ive just seen you post The thing is, they were NGK plugs that were in it before. I have champions in now - all i could get. The leads are from GCP and was told they were genuine.
  21. Right guys, still having issues. Fitted new exhaust along with new flexi joint welded in. Its better but still misfiring. Idle is terrible, its lumpy and almost stalls sometimes. It seems to rev ok. I took it for a drive round the block a few times. It seemed to be ok, apart from when i got to a junction and dipped the clutch - the misfire seemed to come back, but once the revs picked up it seemed ok. Then on the 3rd time round the block i wass doing about 30 and i pressed the throttle more, the car lost power, the revs wouldnt rise and engine management light flashed. A bit further down the road the light went off and it picked up again. So i went round again and again loss of power, revs not wanting to increase and light came on. This time i had to stop as the car wasnt going anywhere. I scanned the car again when i got home and it came up with "random multiple misfire" and "cylinder 2 misfire, cylinder 3 misfire" - note, its always 2 and 3. What can i look at next, i hear the EGV valve can be a problem. Really need this sorted cos i start a new job and need my car back as the gf is using it whilst i get her car sorted.
  22. Looks good Andi, i like it. Are the "your posts" & "new post" buttons coming back, i found them handy especially the "your posts" button. :D
