  1. Yup the passenger side of mine is loose despite it being screwed into the little nut on the upright (bit that comes out of the boot hatch), I think the nut inside has been chewed up to an extent and only tightens so much. :(
  2. Hi all, Got a bit of a odd issue with my coolant system. Ive always known theres a minute leak of coolant coming from around the oil cooler (VR6), and i do mean minute. Last weekend, i was heading over to my parents when suddenly the water temp light came on, but the water temp was pretty good, it wasnt rising and stayed around 95 (hot day too), kept an eye on it and it was only about another mile to my parents. Popped the bonnet when i got there and the coolant level was about 1.5 inch below the minimum level - i even looked round for any obvious leaks and there was none (bar the small one at the oil cooler) However, when i unscrewed the reservoir cap to top it back up and the level of the water raised once the pressure was released. Anyway i topped it up and when i got home i checked the level again and it was fine. Today, i checked the level when i got home and again it had dropped. But AGAIN when i let the pressure out of the system the level went back up to normal. I put a little bit more though so it was just above max. But checking after a quick run the level was fine again. Whats going on? Its been fine for ages even with a minute leak which doesnt even leak a litre of water in 4 weeks alot less then that. Can anyone shine any light on this?
  3. £115 for a service! What did that include exactly?
  4. Cheers numjed, that did confirm it to an extent. Watch this space is all im goign to say :-/
  5. Looks very clean and tidy mate. Any more info about the car?
  6. Wheels look awful never mind anything else......
  7. Yeah they do overread, but dont think it will be by that much at only 40-50mph. Is it around 2 weeks for it take to come through?
  8. Well its my first offence in a fair few years ie 6  does that count? Dragon green - it wasnt one of those high roof vans it was a normal cop vans. I was doing about 47-48 in a 40 whilst i got passed the old giff, then noticed the van and dropped my speed to about 43-44. Really i should have just slammed the brakes on  Is it around 2 weeks it wi
  9. Well on the way to my first day at a new job. Was following some old giff who was going really slow. Got to a roundabout we both turned right onto the dual carriageway, the old giff went into the fast lane which was doing about 30 in the NOW 40mph. I went up the inside, got upto about 48. I then saw the mobile speedcamera further up the road. So slowed down to about 43mph. Im kind of hoping he had the camera on the car in the outside lane, allowing me to drop my speed. Will put my hands up if i have been caught, but really could do without 3 points and a fine right now. Any chance of being offered a speed awareness course, rather then the points, or is this only offered to you if you actually get pulled?
  10. Aftermarket alarm, old or still been used???
  11. Yeah its the Idle Stabilizer Valve. From the rear, could it be the fuel pump?
  12. Is it in the cabin or drom under the bonnet? Its not the ISV is it?
  13. Very pleasant and suprising chuftie tonight. Pulled up outside my trusty mechanics garage to pick up the gfs lupo after the dreaded MOT (it failed but only for a couple of bulbs and a tyre), Parked my C behind another C which was being seen by the Doctor. Was waiting inside for the bill when a older man and woman pulled up to pick their car up. Had the older bloke come in to ask if mine was the C and i said which one. He said "the nice one" haha. To be fair the other C was rather scruffy, needed tidying up and the daft exhaust taking off. But still, i do try keep mine in good shape. Was really complementary of my car and i obviously looked after the car. Got a handshake for it :D Nice bloke :D
  14. Its gonna be skinned knuckles time :(. Use lots of pentrating fluid and take it slow. Last thing you want is snapping a stud.
  15. Which strengthens what i said above then :D Though RB are no where near as far ahead of everyone else as they were last year. Which is good. The question is how far ahead will they be later on in the season. Mclaren could well be even stevens or be further ahead. Then you've got to consider Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari. This should be another good season! :D
  16. In my opinion, i reckon KERS could be RBs achilles heel. Ive read that Adrian Newey hates KERS as it messes the balance of the car up, even went on to say they'd rather get rid of the KERS in the RB and replace it with equivalent amount of ballast just so they can put the ballast where they want to help balance the car.
  17. Yeah really liking it. Brundle and Coulthard did well today. Really enjoyable race, with plenty of action! Best race of the season so far!
  18. WOW! lucky SOB. Absolutely no reaction from the people in the car, kinda calmly pulled the car over.
  19. Ah, cheers dude. Right under my nose.
  20. Can someone tell me ow i change my choices??? cant seem to find the option
  21. Got mine fitted today, took less then an hour and that included getting the car on the ramps and releasing the drivers side bonnet pin. Matt i did what you did and unclipped the cable from the wing and there was enough slack to pull the cable out. No probs at all! Nice change. Oh and i sprayed my guide sleeve with black bbq paint before fitting
  22. Fitted the newly made up metal bonnet guide sleeve. Was easier then i thought (you were right matt8v). No more worries about being able to open the bonnet now :D and relax..........
