I see why you're questioning it, as you could be fooled into thinking there's nothing for the grippers to grip onto. But you will use a irwin gripper socket which is ever so slightly smaller then the carrier bolt and as Dukest said, you will have to tap the bolt gripper over the bolt head, which doing that alone will mean the bolt gripper has dug into the bolt head. Then when you twist it by using a ratchet it will gouge into the bolt - they have slight serrated edges inside the bolt gripper sockets. Hope that made sense :lol:

Flexi joint on order and will be welded to the existing cat and downpipe. New centre exhaust and back box as that had a hole in the centre box and the tail pipe of the back box was rotten. Hopefully the misfire will be sorted, the exhaust needed replacing anyway.

Disconnect the DDIs and see if the lights sort themselves out.

It's just hot air mate, I love them really :lol: I'm just very aware of the car's shortcomings and don't hide them behind rose tinteds ;) I like other cars as much as the next man, but I've never really 'got' Alfas. I've driven them and I like the look of some of them, but they don't do anything for me. What ever this passion people have for them, it's not sparked in me. And as for this ridiculous notion that you can't be a true car enthusiast until you've owned one, utter garbage! I try not be too narrow minded when it comes to the Corrado and VWs in general. I like other cars and other marks, but I will defend the Corrado where necessary. :D Going back to my previous question - What are these "awkward angles" people are talking of? The Corrado is a thing of beauty in my eyes.

Can someone point out this 'awkward styling' the Corrado has at the front end, I just dont see it.. The corrado is a thing of beauty. I like the Alfa, but i just cant see myself loving it. Though to be fair ive never driven one.

Has it got an uprated headlight loom. Mine has and once found the headlights on. Turned out water had got into the relays. Failing that, how long have the DDI dials been done... could be something to do with that wire as you say.

Yeah and thankfully its not like modern cars where you have to take the bumper off to take the headlight off :cuckoo:

Had this issue not long, took a fair bit of trying before it came look. I found pushing it down a little did help.

Yup a few times. Got mine and immediately had to replace the engine. So i cant get rid until ive got a good few miles out of it :lol: Plus, ive learnt more about car mechanics and such like since owning a corrado, then i ever had before owning one. You have to dont you. Lets be honest guys, i for one know that if i got rid of the corrado for something else id be craving to get the corrado back. The girlfriend has been driving it to work and back whilst her car is off the road and i do miss driving it. Its also a novelty to be in the passenger seat too, which is still fun :D
