  1. Hi ben, the IHI is a wicked piece of kit. right now it's not even running a bar. my injectors are flat out, but with a bigger set of injectors and a boost controller, i'll be able to see about 1.2 bar and 250-260 bhp, with a 1.9 bottom end, the boost can reliably run 1.5 bar all day and it'll be clean over 300 bhp! 8) It just makes me think back to PWVs review of their grey rallye when they said there was no more tuning potential in the g60!
  2. Good point timmeh, no to mention that the charger is starting to get a bit of a rare beast nowadays, that, and you don't have to overhaul a turbo every 40-60k! I've been running it for about a month, and it seems the only drawback is the lack of charger noise. Damn i miss that whine!!!!
  3. not sure, heard good things about E38, when/where is it? p.s. internals didn't need modification, g60 already low comp, so it was just plug and play! :?
  4. I got it a bit cheaper, but i think the kits go for around £1750 ish. Not sure which turbo, but it's the same jabba use on their mk4 upgrades. I think it's actually a subaru turbo. If you wanna see the car, it'll be on the jabbasport stand up at donnington this weekend. If it's dry, i'll take her out too. But she went well at castle coombe on the weekend.
  5. fair play mate. good luck, you'll need it!!
  6. Quite new to the forum, so i thought i'd tell the tale of my raddo; a year ago, after trashing a mint mk2 golf, i looked at my finances and decided i could afford a raddo! Ended up buying a j plate g60 with mild mods (grill spoiler, tsw evo r's). first thing i done was put a set of FK coilovers (the cheap ones!) which work really well. However soon after that, i decided to try my luck at castle coombe, which went really well... until my second lap when the gear box went bang :( i could only find 3rd and 4th, so i carried on for a second session! One TDi box later and everything went fine, until rebuild time came in feb this year up at jabbasport, it turns out that the charger had been bodged with titanium putty! So one new charger, induction kit and a lot of porting and polishing later, i was running again... for 30 days when the charger went bang!  Back to jabba where it turns out that the oil pump had been bodged with silicone sealant and had run the charger dry! Really not liking the prevous owner at this point. So i agreed to let jabba keep my car for 3 1/2 months while they used it to develop their IHI turbo kit. Now it produces 215bhp and the torque is around 240 at only 11psi. The car has the potential for 300bhp and i havn't looked back! But i do miss that charger whine!  :(
  7. Avoid Liquid Ice in Yeovil, i know of three people who's alarm they completely botched up! Half the time the indicators would ramdomly go off and the dash went heywire!
  8. i steam cleaned my engine (and the sound deadening!), my headlights stayed on full beam for 30 mins!! turns out i flooded one of the relays on my headlight loom. But at least i know the wiring is sound...now!!
  9. not sure how it has been done, but i know for sure it hasn't been welded. At the moment i'm running only about 215bhp at 11psi. but with a few internal mods(1.9) and a boost controller i could run 1.5 bar all day and see around 300hbp! :D
  10. i dunno about that, but at least you've joined the enlightened ones by binning the citroen badge!
  11. storm, you REALLY know how to depress a guy! i'm lucky if i see 20mpg! but still, it's fun to put your foot down and wave bye bye to the looser in the saxo, rapidly dissapearing in your rear view!!! :D
  12. i've just started to have the same problem, but my oil pump is about 2 months old, so i think i'll be opting for a new sensor, and a oil pressure gauge, just to be sure :)
  13. neil, you're not the only one, i can manage 220 if i drive it nice (doesn't happen very often!). Went to castle coombe on the weekend and 4 sessions managed to drink 3/4 of a tank, and that's only 69 miles! :!: :!: :!:
  14. Hi carlos, hennys right, i'm running a standard Mk4 dump valve that's venting to atmosphere.
  15. As much as i'd like to claim responsability for them, the prevous owner put thm on(wonky at the back too!) I think he had them made in the netherlands (cos it's got NL in the reflective materials), but they've passed two MOTs!
  16. Cheers mate, i'll give it a try!
  17. This is just to say hello, never been on a forum before, thought this would be a good place to start cos i'm nuts about the raddo! I'v got a Dragon Green G60 that i've had for just over a year. After popping 2 chargers in one month i've now got Jabba's first IHI turbo conversion, de-cat and full jetex system as well as a few other bits and pieces. As soon as i figure out how, i'll put on some pics(Bit new to the whole internet thing really!), but i'm going to be on a club stand at coombe and jabbas at the trackshow so come over and say hello the old fashioned way! untill then hello and well done on a spot on forum! :-P
  18. anybody going down to castle coombe track day on saturday? i'll be showing mine on a club stand. it's just had jabba sports first ihi turbo conversion. might take it out too if it's not raining!!

    faulty MFA?

Having a little trouble with the mfa on my 91' G60. The MPG always stays around 4, regardless of how i drive it. I've replaed the vaccum pipe that feeds the clocks and no change. It did start behaving a while ago, but that only lasted about 3 days, so i'm thinking electrical fault. Any help would be great. cheers.
