  1. Do you think you could get away with lightly tinting them?
  2. I spent £350 on the Cheap FK coilovers. They're the best lasting suspension setup I've ever had, 2 years down the line and it's still a comfortable ride but handles like it's on rails!
  3. true, he's opened up the market to female drivers now  Anti curb wheels?
  4. I ran an Alpine 9815RB for about 3 years till I sold it with my other car, I can't say enough good things about it! It does MP3 and WMA and it has lots of power too. I paid about £350 3 years ago so they should be around your budget now if you can find one. I'm gonna buy another myself
  5. bcstudent  Fraid not! The Corrado is about to have every penny from the golf sale spent on it!
  6. I know you can get them for the mk3, perhaps you can modify a set to fit the Raddo.
  7. I went for the big valve option and it made a huge difference to mine...so yes! :D
  8. Well I knew this day would come..... While celibrating my birthday last week (i.e.hammered), I got into a lengthy conversation about justifying 2 cars and a works van. In the end I decided the Bull, my trusty 8v, would have to go. When I woke up the next day, I remembered all of the points made, and they still made sense, so I knew it's time had come.... So a few phone calls were made (the bulls industructablability had won it it's own fan club!) and a deal was done! :( Today it's new owner came to pick it up and I waved goodbye to my 3rd (but definately not my last) golf. So here's a few of the better time's I've had with it... And of course!!!!! Oh well, at least the money raised (and saved) will go to the "Corrado Ruturns" fund, watch this space.....
  9. Thanks, but I've already got one with a couple of gauges that I made myself. Just really like the oem look...that and you can get ddi overlays for them! :D
  10. Has anyone tried to fit them to early dashboards? Is it possible to cut them down to size with out messing them up too much?
  11. Bit of a pants pic, i got the Isotta Velengulthingie, nice wheel, pain in the a55 to fit though!
  12. How about a smoke machine inside the car!
  13. Sorry to hear about your loss mate. It ain't easy to hear right now but the up and the down of it is you can replace the car. You walked away from it and that's what's important.
  14. Sorry to Hijack the thread, but... NOS puts extra stress on the engines components, just wondering what components and if it was possible to uprate them to reliably run it.

    SUB

MB Quart. I've had several JL subs (four of them at once!) and yes, they are loud, but the sound quality isn't very good. If you want loud noise, go for JL, if you want quality sound, MB. My 2p

    front bumper

I'm pants at using the search too! There should be two sets of three bolts on either side of the front crossmember, two big ones and one little in the middle. These are the ones you're after, the small ones hold up the crossmember and the big ones are for the bumper. Not sure about late fogs/indicators, but the inducators pop out revealing screws for the fogs.

    Golf VR6

http://www.dubmeister.co.uk for the plates, no idea about the figures though.
  18. Echoing what bristolbaron said, you're an extremely thoughtfull man and I'm sure your dad was proud to have a son like you. RIP
  19. thats nothing, i can hit the brakes and get my head to push the horn!!! (should wear a seatbelt i suppose!!) I don't know why but that mae me think of the Jasper Carrot gag when he's going on about the chicken running around with the broken neck!!
  20. Continuing the temporary thread hijacking... I put pagid fast road pads, zimmerman discs and dot 5.1 fluid, that made a HUGE difference to my breaking. I also put on goodridge braidid hoses, but i don't think that made much difference. I can jump on the brakes and get my chin spoiler to hit the ground! (hence the wanted ad)
  21. I've heard of toothed pulleys eating belts (think olly done two on a trip to the ring!) I'd go for the fmic, you can get good results from fettled g60 brakes.
  22. Believe it or not, it was actually cheaper for me to insure both my Corrado and Golf, than just the Raddo on its own! Because the miles were severley reduced for the Raddo and it wasn't being used as for the work drive, also the Golf I insured for as little as possible, the combined cost of the two came out for just under what the Raddo used to be!
  23. Corrado for special occasions...or for when I'm feeling flush, Van for work Mk2 Gti fir weekends/Track abuse!
  24. Bit early n the day to encounter drunks? Looks like you had a good time though! I'll look out for your artwork when I go back there next year!
