  1. Best of luck mate, it was a great project which I enjoyed reading about and seeing in the flesh.
  2. My next car will be a Mk4 Golf, lovely looking cars!
  3. Remove undertray on the right handside of the drivers footwell
  4. Had a good mooch around her at BVF, beautiful mate!
  5. Shame you had to let her go mate, really hope it stays on the road though and I hope you'll get yourself another at some point!
  6. Like the colour and the arches but the lower front-end looks missing!
  7. It was pretty clean afaik, there was certainly no noticable obstructions.
  8. Just a quick one; Changed the discs and pads on the girlfriends ford fiesta but now its developed a knocking on the passengers side. It sounds like its knocking each revolution the wheel makes but after taking it all off again there doesn't appear to be anything contacting anything else and no rubbing marks anywhere. The car has wheel nuts (which are crap) so there is no locating stud into the hubs, perhaps the discs are moving back and forth a fraction as the wheel nuts aren't tightening as they should?! Can you get a warped disc from new?
  9. Poor bloke, no second chances there. Would be interesting to know the reason for the collision!
  10. What a machine who cares what it looks like, I bet it sounds/moves awesome!
  11. Do you expect him to telepathically know which of the two he should be talking to? I expect a fair few couples come in together and probably 99% of the time its the gentleman thats after something. Its the total opposite in places like the bodyshop where they look to the lady first, and anyway it sucks more for lads cause always give me the bill at a bar/cinema/restaraunt etc?
  12. Welcome, your car looks a very clean example from the pictures!
  13. To me the corrado is just a good looking car, its been nice and reliable and I will be proud to say i have owned both a 16v and a VR6 but theres hundreds of cars I would like to try. The corrado is probably going as soon as I graduate and get a full-time job and although I will think back fondly there are bigger and better out there! On the wish list are BMW 850CSi and old style Merc SL600!
  14. I dont risk letting the other half drive the corrado, thats not a sexist comment as its aimed at her not all women. She would kurb the alloys in less than 10minutes and would park it anywhere instead of taking the time to find a nice secluded slot away from the mums trying to cram kids into the back of their people carriers. Plus there are a few speed bumps about and you have to take it very slow and carefully navigate through/around them which is something she would probably accidentally forget to do.
  15. Glad you changed those side repeaters mybeige!
  16. Yeah I have been driving the car with a relatively soft pedal for a while now, the brakes work as they should but only after pressing the pedal a 1/4 of the way down does it actually do anything. If you push the brake its solid, then start the engine it immediately sinks about an inch before there is any pressure. Also, i am changing the pads within the next fortnight so will re-visit the pressure situation then. I might just take it to a garage for a pressure bleed.
  17. Great to see all the lads back together with their usual banter, but the roadworks segment sucked.
  18. Whilst on the subject of bleeding brakes; I changed my rear beam bushes but couldn't get the frigging brakes to bleed properly afterwards. I get a nice solid pedal until i start the car and it goes soft. I have bled them 4-5times (including nipple in engine pay) with an Ezee bleed kit and am no-longer getting any air bubbles, but the pedal wont change. I think I also tried with the engine on, but no luck, any suggestions?
  19. Nissan Micra. Used to have a Fiat Panda but that was such a good crack, gokart steering!
  20. Not sure how good they are but apparently ecarinsurance is pretty damn cheap.
