I was east bound from somerset, heading towards london yesterday(thursday). On the A303 (i think) A silver Rado flashed me in opposite direction, but i was fiddling with the cd player and didnt have time to flash back. I was in a Red G60.

I saw the one i think you mean. It was more of a drawing than an actual photo or photochop. I didnt like it personally. Kind of looked like a squashed Touraeg to me. But thats MO.

2.6k! wow! That is crazy IMO, but each to their own. You can certainly say that not alot of people your age have one! I dont like the attention i get, i dont know what do do! lol. Its been a bit of a step up, from a standard 106 quiksilver to a C. lol. As for your neighbour... Id park it in as inconvenient a place for your neighbour as possible. Like right across his drive. But the C meet outside your house sounds like a good option too!

What was the surfing like? I go there occasionally and its a long fecking way from the water to the car park! Never seen a c there tho.

Im really intregued to see the outcome of this. Looks awesome so far, and all the work done by yourself is even more admirable. :)

Shotgun on the dog...jk. I would try and go down the legal route first with witnesses etc. That way you might not be out of pocket come the end of all this, and he might be out of your way. If you sabotage/damage his property first, then youll defo end up havin to pay for it yourself. If nothing comes from the legal route, then batter the living cr@p out of him and everything he owns.

Ive been reading about the removal of the bump strips and saw that to get the trim off in the first place it is suggested you heat them with, in my case it would be a hairdryer...would this not damage the paintwork? Also once the trim is off it is suggested you use white spirit or similair to get the glue off from underneath...Does this not damage/fade the paintwork? Also flaring arches. Ive searched long and hard on here and cannot find much info. Once its done, and theres a reccomendation of a few companies, will it need to be smoothed and re-sprayed etc?

I have just spent the whole of my lunchtime reading this 38 page thread, and although the majority of the technical stuff went over my head i can certainly appreciate and respect the amount of effort that has been put in. Its an absolutely amazing car and considering 99% of it has been done by yourself (retrimming) i would be the most chuffed person in the world! You should create your own website with pics and info on the progress in order, but i shouldnt imagine you have that much time with such a loverly motor to finish. -
Im looking to replace my suspension and had my eye on some konigsports on ebay, the guy has removed them so now looking at super sports adjustable coilovers from a '94, 2.0 16v c. Does anybody have these fitted? and are they any good? And will they fit my '91 G60? Tried a search and again had no luck (im sure i must be doing something wrong!)

I really dont want to "chav" it, believe me, but being new to this game Im just trying to gauge what people have done to optomise their performance without spending a shedload as at the moment i dont have a shedload! It is a daily driver too, so stripping isnt really an option, as i have no plans to track it. But thanks for your input.

Ok, so forget what i said. If i wanted to lose weight how would i go about it? Completely strip out all the door cards, rear bench, sound deadening, plastic trim ect?
-
I'd quite like to lose a bit of weight from my C, without spending hideous amounts of money on CF etc. I also dont want to ruin the original look of either the interior or exterior. Has anybody done anything like this? Ive spent the last 20 mins searching for posts and threads but to no avail. I've considered stripping the rear, removing bench and all that, but its just OTT for me.

Theres an auction going on ebay for a nice steering wheel and it was bought for a MK2 golf. I asked if it would fit a c (1.8 G60) and he said he didnt know but "just found out this spindle size is 30mm tapering inside to something like 25-27mm - does this help with the sizing for the corrado?" Will it fit? Cheers guys!
-
Ohh...also, im trying to prioritise my spending. my c's currently lowered 80mm on some cheap tat, and i wanted to raise it slightly so its between 40 and 60, depending on price and reccomendations from you guys. What kit would reccomend for this, id like it quite stiff, but dont really have a huge amount to spend. Also, i have no idea of this, how much do garages charge to lower a car for you!? Thanks in advance!

OK. Took my c for its first night time drive last night (as i only picked it up monday morn) and the lights are rubbish! lol. I was anticipating this tho. So I have a few questions which i hope you guys can answer. 1) The angel lights conversion (ive seen them on ebay) IMO they look good, and i was wondering do they still provide the same light output or is it improved? Or made worse!? 2) You can change the lightbulbs (for example on a peugeot) to the clearer, brighter bulbs that have a slight blue tint to them. Do these improve the c's lighting? 3)Is it easy to remove the "Corrado", "G60" and VW badges on the rear of the c? 4)Ive noticed people have changed to the Lupo windscreen wiper setup. Is this a single wiper conversion itself? What is needed to do this? a new motor? Sorry for all the questions, but you gotta start somewhere!

I consider myself lucky, dont u worry. If it doesnt fall apart then i have a pristine conditioned G60 for a touch over 2k! If it does fall apart then i have many quality parts to sell! lol, all should be good tho. :)

Would a direct air feed or forced induction kit (eg BMC CDA) do the job? Any body have a standard airbox for sale!?

Dorset, why do you ask?
