What a silly thread, This is the sort of thing that just causes upset.. We all share the same intrests regardless of which leval thats at.. I wish people just got on with enjoying the car's! Surley thats what this forums about, not about weather you are a TRUE dubber or not! A forum should be about enhancing the joys of owning such car not to belittle others who may not be of quite the same leval of enthusiam Sorry but this is the sort of thing is what annoys me about forums, im sure this conversation wouldn't come up in real life such as at a RR day or a Show.

I cant run my rear bumper without them now..

You know me too well Mike..

meh, its a distant relation, I'm sure 99% of people on here are more than happy to ogle anything, corrado or otherwise, when its done right Ill take that as a huge compliment Chris... I try and do things right.. Got some time away from the familly (day off) so poped down to work to rework the exhaust so that it will clear the bumper. Std exhaust - Now reworked - No point changing something that works so well as stock.

Im hoping to have it back for ultime dubs as its at the bodyshop at the moment undergoing some "cleaning" Thanks for your comment's i wasn't sure how it would go down on here not being a corrado..

No, the spoiler was the visual change but in reality only adds 60lbs of dowforce @ 100mph+ which is not a lot at all. all of the suspension bushs /addition of esp / do far more . Many of the tt owners have returned them back to the oe spec as this turns them back into the car AUDI designed them to be without the horrid understeer found on the recalled mk1 TT's SO its not style over form im just removing the stick on Tat..

After the sale of my passat i needed a new daily car and after much thought (about 10 mins) decided an TT could be interesting, espically with a few tweaks.I did consider a low mileage corrado but felt the need for the modern safety additions that a new car has as this is for doing the school run etc... Well we found this base car locally about a month ago and in between breaking it (Clutch) I have been starting to play with it a little.. The day i picked it up.. We then went on the hunt for some wheels (Cheers Lee) i must admit i saw the black one posted on here and instantly knew i could get them to work albiet slightly differantly on my green one too.. New rims. 8"x18 fronts & 9"x18" rears wearing 215/35/18 falkens... Then the drop - There wasn't a kit available off the shelf to get the ride height we wanted so we had to measure up and get our own made. This was the trial fit with the wheels almost fitted where i want them in the arch. The bits then started to go on the car so i drove it for a while whilst awaiting my bodyshop time.. Then friday i got the call for the car to go down to the bodyshop so it was time to do away with the spolier(really ruins the lines) This left me with this.. more to come....

I dont think you will better the ration/gearing you already have mike. THe TT 6speed box ratio's are no where near as suited to our driving style.
-
Its a good show this week i was there for the filming and the brabus merc on the track is Mental (but not that.....)
-
The belt you need is - 8m1600 /20mm. Check the idler hasn't gone out of alignment also. Available from stock if required.
-
Nice , but i definatly prefered the TT comp's on your car marcus..
-
Were planning a trip around easter also so i will let you know how we get on.
-
very nice
-
That looks like a cheap DIY effort. The sprinter intercooler is lets say a comprimised fit into a corrodo if retaining the G60 Supercharger as they idealy need turning 180* for a nicer fitment.

BBS are going nowhere according to my contact at BBS..

Et12 on a moderatly lowered corrado and a 7 - 7.5" rim will not fail any mot. Although i agree there could be some scrubbing if A- the car runs very low B-The arch's are untouched, We usally run an 8" @ et20 on the front of a rado so a 7" @ et12mm will actually sit 13mm futher in than that. Until the width is known its very hard to sugest wether there will be any scrubbing.
-
You can buy 20mm adapters to go from 4x100 - 5x100 so if there not to wide there is a chance to get them on your g60.
-
Get that rear end down and i will be a big fan of this car...
