Right my G60 is making some strange noises that are coming from under the bonnet which sound like their coming from under the pulley area. Just been under the car and all the pulleys seem tight and dandy, used a screw driver and listened to the bearings and they seem fine too. Any suggestions to what it is or has anyone had the same problem??

Recently had a new gearbox put in my G60 got it home and it felt luvvvvly. Went to take it out in the evening as it was starting to get dark, I thought I would be sensible and flick the switch to turn my headlights on. All of a sudden I was greeted by the smell of electrical burning and a big cloud of smoke. NICE  I checked the car over by getting the fuse box out checking all the fuses which are intact. I then found the cause of the problem, the wire that run from the connection that comes through the bulk head had melted all the way up to the switch. I have taken the switch out and had a look at it, and it seems fine. I traced the melted wire through to the headlight and guess what I found. The monkey at the garage must of taken my battery out to charge it and when we put it back in he had tightened the battery clamp up cutting through the wires for the passengerside headlamp. GIMP  I have since replaced the burnt out wires but only my sidelights work. Does anyone know if the lights run through one of the relays and if so which one??? Muchos Gratias

The two at the driver side front strut tower: There are 2 hoses attached, one leading to the fuel rail, the other coming from the bottom connector on the FPR. Then there's a 3rd fuel hose at the right hand side of the engine block (when standing in front of your Rado, i.e. on the gearbox side), that comes from the fuel rail and leads to a pressure switch which in turn is attached to the throttle body. I got my braided hoses from Demon Tweeks according to my paper work, probably way to expensive compared to GSF, so try them first, I'd say ;-) Tempest ;) D'oh

cheers Henny. I'm not the best when it comes to engine bays. Can you give me an idea where to look. Cheers

I get a slight whif of petrolium first thing in the morning when I start mine up. Any other time its fine? Do u think this is because of the above problem or something else, ie the choke wanging in more juice on a cold welsh morning?

Cheapest I found was Bell Direct. 539.42 for Me(24) and my Mrs(26), with four yrs NCB(protected) for my '91 G60 inc 17" Alloys with 750 quids worth of stereo cover. Not bad at all, was expecting it to be over 650 golden beer tokens

Hey Guys, Its that time of the year again for fork out a wedge of cash to insure your car even tho if an uninsured idiot on a motor bike wraps into you they get off scot free. Anyways I have a 1991 Right hand drive, cat1 immobilised Corrado G60 (see avatar), do about 8k miles a year, I'm 24 with an sp30 back in 2002 and have years no claims. Can anyone recommend a tidy company to insure with as the lowest I've managed to get it down to is 582 which personally i think is steep as I only paid 370 on my mk1 golf cab. HELP ME PLEASE :D

any ideas how much this will set me back and where I can get one from?

wud u say its better to buy a recon box or go for the cheap and cheerful 2nd hander?

Nah just had the AA out and the gearbox is f**ked good and proper. Was talking the AA bloke and he seemed to know his s**t. He said that a 6 speed VR6 box should fit the G60. Does anyone know if it will and if it would be any good?

nah its rammed in there good and proper. Dont really wanna fork out aload of cash to get it sorted, gutted as i swapped my MK1 Golf cab for it :(
