    Hi there. I've got a 2.8 lump in my old goluf that i'm going to take out and get bored and re-built for my C. Already got a rebuilt head lined up. Trouble is I know diddly-squat about engines really, so does anyone know of a guide of any sort for dismantling and taking out a VR engine? I want to learn, but don't want to f*ck up my 2.8 engine whist removing it! Thanks :)

    welcome mate :) there really is only ONE person who can tell you if it's a good buy - YOU! personally i reckon you got what you wanted so its a good deal. it would be the worst deal in the world for me as i do 40k a year, so it would be worth a couple of grand in 2 years or so! not good. but it sounds like you got what you wanted so stop ya moaning and go and rag the a*se off it! does one do that in a 33k mile car? happy motoring mate :)

    that integrale looks well suspect to me. as someone said, aren't they ALL 5 door? and those arches look wrong. too square and too big. probably wrong though - i usually am! :) as for a no-vag world (lol) would have to be the lancia really. or a tvr cerbera PS. haven't porsche already become vag by buying a big slice of veedub?

    man i drove to spain and back last week, I saw one on the m25 squeezing between inside and middle lane, one in a scrappy outside valencia and one in paris. I honestly saw more ferraris. (makes you feel special dosn't it) the one on the m25 wasn't black was it mate?

    man this offset sh*t is confusing! so an et20 is further out than an et 35 for example?? can you get the average 20 offset wheel on a vr??? (sorry to jack your thread mate!) :)

    Dredgey, gutted for you mate, but at least the ban wasn't longer. so these posh t**ts in surrey can record your speed but there's no conviction? then shouldn't we see who can get the fastest recorded time? ;)

    think a speedline would fit either tyre wouldn't it trigger?? they're only 6.5 wide so should be fine with 195 or 205? :)

    that defo looks like a 7.5 inch dish to me. the 9 inchers have a hooooj dish on em! go for the A's mate. gorgeous :)
