-

-

-

-
so happy about it mate. never really had 2 cars simultaneously before. whats even better is the mrs doesn't drive so the C should be safe! ;)
-
Gaz - mate they said i can use it for private use!! (the card) :) :) :) theZip - is she really parked on carpet mate? quality :) shagpile austin?
-
Hi Just thought i'd share this with you as its making me grin from ear to ear and the mrs is sick so she doesn't care......... Work have just given me a van and petrol card so i've no longer got to use the vr for 30-40k miles a year! Can't tell you how good that is - I can stick it on classic low mile insurance now and use it only for pleasure. Quality. Also means i can spoil her a bit now as i should have a bit more cash. Its been killing me recently with the running costs. Sorry, to quote the zep, ramblin on...... ;) YEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
-
its all down to personal preference at the end of the day. i prefer the ride with 40 profile sidewalls - its harder but also 'smoother' (bad choice of word) as there is a lot less rolling on the sidewalls and less bouncing from dips and bumps. be a man - get 17/40s :)
-
you could even stick some 215/40/17's on te back for the wide look :)
-
what about correct functioning of the sidewalls kev? surely they're not acting as they should be if they're stretched to fek???
-
does having 9s on the rear mean stretched tyres? if it does then that must start messing with the handling??
-
i'll 2nd that. have had 17s on for about 3 hours now! bit of a jump from 15s to 17s! but i'm ard so i find the ride fine mate. :) (and have already had a blow out) ;)
-
she wouldn't. they can't park their ass in a chair mate :) (hides)
-
(see my sig) :)
-
i wouldn't drive on site in a white anything mate ;) lol big girls colour :)
-
a short fuse? lol i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say i think focus's are excellent cars. handle really well. well put together. strong(ish) engines. i did 70,000 miles in my 1.6 with nothing more than oil-top-ups and its still going strong at 140k!!!! (not in my ownership you understand). thats fekin amazing though - 70k with no servce, no oil change, nothing (i was an unofficial test driver??) ;)
-
is the esp on a fuse??
-
those rims have to be 15 mate. or less. perfectomondo. they're sweet as. i'm not jealous though. in fact i don't like them at all ;) i was gonna stick with 15s but i'm gonna slam the hell out of my C and do shed loads of miles, on and off building sites al day, etc - makes 15 and slam impossible :(
-
absolutely gayspire. well said. i had a standard 1.6 lx (luther) that wasn't even on the zetec's sport suspension, and it was remarkably limpet like to be honest. all my veedub buddies would never have it, but it's true! but on the motorway putting your foot down can only be likened to applying a greensquiff pad to a black diamond disc - NOTHING HAPPENS!! ;)
-
think you're missing the point squire. old skool has to be small. they're quality G!!! lovely rims :)
-
don't be too gutted mate. i had a lowly 1.6 focus but around town its low enough geared to be pretty darn nippy. fekin dead as a dodo at motorway speeds though - where my vr absolutely comes alive. all about the ratios innit :) and really, its academic, as its also all about the driver, reactions, element of suprise, etc etc etc i was struggling to keep up with me mate in a deisel clio van through the city today because he knew which way the 3.5 foot wide road was going etc etc (thats my excuse anyway and i'm sticking to it ;) )
