  1. Well, this thread is a little old so I've moved on a bit since first posting it. I refurbed my speedys in gun metal grey, so the wheels are sorted, I'm going for the drop and body colouring the grill, rear num surround, bump strips and door handles. Also getting clear side repeaters and the FK Clear Smoked Rear Lights, or whatever they're called. I think Jays got them on his? Do look nice without the crystal ebay look. As the phrase goes, OEM+!

    LCD Telly

Dont need a tv license for portable/battery powered tv's.

    LCD Telly

Wondering what could be possible with this little thing. Normally I wouldn't be bothered about doing tv screens etc in a car but for £90 with all car stuff etc included and remote (inc VAT), its almost tempting! Just have to figure out where to put it! Are most screens (this is a tv as well) this cheap or am I just out of touch? 7" Size.

    Battery Bag??

VAG do them? Didn't know the C came with one.
  5. Has anyone ever body coloured the front grille badge? Getting my grill either coloured or replaced with a Rieger, just wondering if anyones painted the actual badge before?
  6. Still don't know what to do! Going for the drop but unsure on the splitter, anyone got a pic of the 90mm and the 50mm on cars side by side?

    Battery Bag??

Looking to poss get a battery bag??? (name?) for the C but can't seem to find any info about them or shops that sell them! What benefit are they (apart from aesthetics) and where do you get them from? :?
  8. Toying with the idea of getting my strips done too. Hate having to avoid them when waxing etc and back to blacking (or peanut buttering) every few weeks. Cars getting resprayed anyway so thought, why not!
  9. Can someone go to a dealer and ask? Although they prob know less than us regarding it!
  10. VW! :) Failing that, try G-Werks?
  11. I like the angle, thats whay I chose it. Does look better in real life, I promise! Yes your right, I do have the right side. This is the tailpipe I chose (half that powerflow stock they didn't have so there was a lack of options)
  12. Round ones are boring, any chav can put a pipe onto a car and call it an exhaust. I wanted to go for something different (as far as I'm aware its the only one). Plus, the C exhaust has a natural angle to it, this kinda of matches that. Squares ones are just bizzare and twin pipes look bad as well IMO. Remember, these are my opinion, I'm not getting at anyone! :)
  13. I assume they do a right one. Got it done at powerflow, just the tailpipe. Not sure on size, prob about 3inch wide. It does get narrower the further back it goes. Have a look on powerflows website.
  14. Well, got this fit a month ago, but finally took pics. Eventually went for a Porsche 911 Left Tailpipe. Me likey very much!

    Oil cooler

I got it fit in February. Even at -3c or whatever it was at on some mornings, the oil soon gets up to temp. Think about it like you do your water rad. When air passes through it, it cools, when your stood still, the fans need to blow over it to cool it. Even in winter your fans will come on when sat in traffic. This is the same principle. Another good thing about them is that it will put less pressure on your water cooling system as the oil is being actively cooled now, rather than just the water doing the job. (I think) Is this sandwich plate thingy the same as the radiator oil cooler (mocal) I have? I assume thats what ZippyVR6 is talking about? See pic.

    Oil cooler

I fit the mocal oil cooler radiator thingy to my VR a couple of months back. It takes a little bit longer to get up to temp but not really noticeable. Hottest its being was 110, sat in traffic barely moving for about 30mins. 2-3 minutes after the traffic got moving (40-50mph) and it dropped down to 98. Usually sits between 94-98 depending on different variables. At the mo I have no fan on the radiator. If I get a switch and/or temp controlled one fitted, then even in traffic, oil temp should be on target. Best thing I fit for ages! Do it asap, def before the hot weather comes in. Just make sure nothings rubbing against a pipe or oil will go everywhere! My engine mount was nearly gone and the movement of the engine rubbed away at the pipe til it threw up oil over the engine bay!
  18. - what are you seconding??? The question previous to my post! :!:
  19. I was recommended too, prob go for them. Only thing I'm worried about is the speed hump issue. Might take a bit off the front splitter to ease the cruching a little.
