Gun metal grey speedys, well nearly! http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 964#365964
-
Right now all it is doing is costing me more in extra weight with petrol! Doesn't sound like a bad idea! :)
-
No polish, going for gun metal grey! If I dont like it, I can always get my wheels refurbed!
-
Might do, my aircon doesn't work. Although it is an electrical thing so you prob dont want them!

Car went in on Monday because it peed all its oil over the engine bay, turned out it was a pipe coming from the mocal oil cooler that had split due to it rubbing on something or vice versa. That is now fixed, and this weekend we were off to the east coast nr scarbourgh, basically all A roads for 1 half hours! Great fun! Or so I thought. The reason the pipe was worn through is because the engine is moving when I accelerate quickly. The rear gearbox engine mount has nearly gone! :( Can't get the part til Tuesday so that means I either go up in my car but "take it very easy" and don't boot it! Or go on all these lovely sweeping A roads in my missus 1.0 12v Corsa! This is the first chance I've had to take the C out on a decent A road run and if I decide to take it, I can't put my foot down! What a barsteward!

Aldi are oding this this thurs, its a karcher so good brand. Just about to get an outside tap fitted so looking at these. Any pressure washer experts around? http://uk.aldi.com/special_buys/product_1343.html

Got mine from gwerks for £150 inc all hoses. It was cheaper though as part of a group buy. You can get the hoses off them too by themselves if you need.
-
Just for refurbishment. Was gunna get mine done but car would be on bricks for 3 days. If I buy these and refurb them, I can use my car and then just sell mine for probably £120 ish?
-
If I said I was offered these wheels for £60, would you?
-
Will these be ok for refurbishment or are there too many corroded parts?
-
Doh! What a dumbass! Pic added.

Going to do my engine bay this weekend and give it a good clean. I'm not asking about products or how to, theres plety on search for that. It's 'what I should cover up' to stop damaging any electrics that I'm not sure of. Here's the only pic I have of my bay, I've circled which I know I should cover up (diavia fuses for one) but which other bits should I be careful around? I'll be using a hose pipe, not a pressure wash. Cheers

So, from floor to wheel arch?

25 litres! You must do a lot of rallying or something!

Like a fine whiskey, my VR6 has been lowered carefully over 13 years, for that authentic driving experience.
-
....and the standard ride height of the VR6 is.....
-
After much searching/reading etc about lowering the C, someone at some point said that after 13 years, chances are its 20mm lower than it was from day 1 anyway. What should a standard C be? And how/where from should I measure the height of it from the ground?

I'm sure they are but I'm always sceptical about things on ebay. Plus, I dont want to get them cleaned and then find out they're slightly different when it comes to fitting them! Assuming all is well, do you think I'd be better to sell mine flow tested or just straight out of the box? How much would 6 injectors fully cleaned/tested etc go for?
-
Go on, someone tell me I've bought the wrong ones!
-
I think I've just got a real bargain off ebay! Well, I hope so. Pretty sure these are the correct ones for my C. Cheers again dazzyvr6 These are £93 each from VW! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1 Going to get them cleaned and flow tested and then swap em for mine, which I can then sell back! One more thing, would it be better to sell mine cleaned and tested or as is? It'll cost me £120 for all 6 to be done.

Even for oil thats been down for a few months? I thought I'd need detergent?
-
To get rid of oil? Some spots have being there a while too.
-
As my C has just taken a shat all over my drive with its oil, I was wondering if anyone here knows of a good product to remove such staines off a driveway? It's 6 month old block paving drive. Can't wait for the missus to come home!

Well, figured it out! I posted here after getting on site so hadn't checked before that. Popped the bonnet and checked the oil, which there was plenty. The trouble was most of it covered my engine bay! Must have dumped its load on the way to work. Went to nearest garage and put oil in, then limped it to my garage. By the time I got there the tappity noise had stopped so thats one thing! I reckon one of the pipes attatched to the oil rad I had fitted has gone or something. Hopefully it looked worse than it actually is.
