Same. I find a good wax lasts way longer than a year when garaged so no need for the ceramic coating, could be of interest for the daily though!
-
Hi Si, have you fitted them? Did you photograph the steps you took? Would be interested to see how you did it and the final look etc
-
Cheers, I have plenty more photos where that came from too, for some reason I took hundreds of the things!!
-
Cheers mate, yes absolutely chuffed with the outcome. I must admit, there was a stage looking at the bare frame thinking I hope this all goes back together again :)

As for the driver lower bolster, that was worn, straight through infact which was all the more evident when compared to my nearly new item Rebuilt, cleaned and ready to be installed. Now into the part I've never stripped before, the back portion of the seat. First, remove the head rest retainer clips and pull on the head rest as hard as humanly possible!! (In hindsight I would actually do this step before anything else as it's really hard to grip onto whilst the seat is dismantled) Flip the seat over and bend back the metal tabs to allow the cover to be unclipped. Remove the metal loops all around the foams to release the cover. The only thing holding the seat cover on now is the black plastic guides for the head rest. This was an absolute :bad-words: . The plastic guides come out half way and then get stuck. After ripping open each and every one of my fingers i then decided to use a bit of initiative, i found a socket on an extension worked best, but even still you really need to push to release them!! Now you haven't got any feeling left in your fingers you can remove the cover & foams from the frame. The seat foam removed from the leather (on the right) looks worse than it is tbh, it's quite firm but the replacement is solid! Rebuilding is above reversed, just a lot easier and a lot quicker. Took me longer to clean it.

So, I recently picked up a leather interior just down the road from me which had been nicely looked after/treated etc. To be honest, the foams felt good but as I'd replaced my cloth interior with new/nearly new parts I knew mine were better so I set about swapping them over. I firstly disconnected both halves of the seat, something that is far easier when the heated seat wires don't come into play, it makes it very awkward. Partial refund and a giant paper clip?? I wanted to swap over the base foams too so gently peeled off the heated seat element Looks a little crusty! I won't know if the heated element works until I get the loom installed, I'll get round to it at some point Still the two halves cannot be separated, all wires disconnected from the base and even had to remove the plug Finally separated

I think we're in luck  Not sure how the Rado comparison will sit with a Mustang and Elise though??

:thumbleft: series link set

The problem with that cloth interior for me, if I'm paying 2k I want it presented immaculately, I want 25 quality pictures to show how well it's been looked after, I don't think I get that here (as nice as it is!!!!)
-
You're surely still looking at 4 figures??
-
So..... It didn't sell. Quite surprised!
-
:lol::lol::lol::lol: brilliantly put!! Tbh, I have to agree with cressa, the best way to go maybe reproduction, can't imagine there are too many decent second hand ones about
-
Well that's exciting, I don't think I need to sign up to see all the Corrado content :D
-
Cheers mate :thumbleft: Tbf, I've been pushing this back for years now so I what you mean!

Under the boot lid? I've been kicking myself because I forgot to get some proper "before" close up photos. :bonk: I've tried to zoom up on the this photo, if you look under the O of Corrado you can see bubbling of paint. It had actually come away and was probably 6 cm2 of rust by the time the body shop got it so they cut it out and welded in a new plate. Shame really, the rest of the panel was mint. Sorry, off topic but are you using photo bucket? I thought they didn't allow forum posting etc????

Do vw still sell the sunroof lubricant?
-
Does sound familiar to when my coil pack went too

Great find, looks mint :thumbleft:

Im not totally sure myself tbh, I've never actually sat in a recaro seat. I know the Recaro's are electric adjustment, other than that I thought it was just bragging rights
-
Apparently, it's raining recaros, not sure if these are any different though https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F113238191454
