    But seriously, It does look good but that is just OCD in a car owner, a micron off headlight glass? Or is Paul finding stuff to do? A micron would be the depth of dust built up overnight surely! Mind you at least it'll look really siny as the pull it out the hedge/ditch/field/tree/office block/school.... the first time the torque steer catches him out... Oh no it won't he strikes me as some-one who will drive the damn thing at 10mph so he doesn't get a stone chip!

    Looks like Nath's taken to working in partially demolished greenhouses now! Mad 50:50 shots.. can't understand how some-one lets their Aston get like that... It's as bad as my mum's Megane and that's lucky if it get's washed in Fairy liquid with a dish sponge! Although since the old man bought his new Mundeno they use a big yellow sponge and actual car shampoo... but it's Tesco's stuff!

    You'd have to check with your local MOT station.. Two problems I can see are: 1/ White/yellow plates have to be reflective. 2/ Plates should be "tamper-proof... You can get away with vinyl plates on pre-73 black and silver/white plates...

    Strange I must be the only person in the world with good original Rado wipers. They only "miss" a 2-3 inch section in the middle, and that's just a light smear.... However am tempted to go the TT wiper route....

    Time to check the wiring runs, sounds like a short so possibly trapped wiring or stripped insulation

    Had some "Mettler" bloke come up and start talking to me about the Rado at B/Stortford services yesterday when Jedi was checking my paint over for a polish.. Spotted him earlier driving a black Goof VR6 with black wheels.. Asked the same thing evey-one who knows a little bout Rados/VWs asks: "is it a VR?" As he was all dressed in black I assume his favorite colour's pink! :norty:

    Quick question to those who are running Borbets.... Do "stock" VW alloy (Estos in my case) wheel bolts fit Borbets or did you have to get longer/different shouldered versions? Trying to add up the total cost of a set of either A's or C's here, Wheels/ refurb/ tyres are easyish to price, just the bolts to go...

    IIRC they have to give more than 24hr notice if non-emergency work.. call the local plod station number will be in the phone book... DON'T admit to no MOT unless they ask...

    Lovinit, You'll need rim wax as well... Don't expect it to be a polish and forget thing... especially at this time of year, I used to keep my show cars off the roads unless it was very dry, until the beginning of May, as that gives the salt used time to wash away... If you are using on a Daily basis you'll be re-polishing every week ATM and then 2 weeks if the summer's warm and dry..
