Q: Why enter what is effectivlty a "Brand new car" into shows? Had this discussion at Stonor about the new Beetle catagory when they ran it the year the 1st imports arrived.... Still get "out the showroom" cars being entered... Sorry but it winds me right up!

Well a fruitful 2 hours spent on Sunday Morning.... Seemed rude not to give the car a decent polish and wax as the weather's so good At the moment. Managed to get most of the winter blues off the car... And my fav shot... Now all I need to do is fit the new headlight reflectors (May detail them first) and de-badged grill I got from G-Man

Wouldn't buy anything "Tuff Noodle's" driven. Was at Marcos when the GT3 they'd loaned came back.... On a flat bed with no tred on the rears (gone out with brand-new tyres) a busted drive shaft and a gearbox full of teeth! Only after seeing Top Gear/5th Gear with him animaling it completely sideways everywhere did they understand why! apparently he'd done 2&3rd "test driving it" and stripped 1st/driveshaft launching it... And he panned the car! Met him once in my race-engineer days at Donnington GT meeting. He just sat on his throne by the garage and refused to sign autographs at pit walkabout and slated his mechanics at full volume... Apparently one was going to throw him over the pit wall by the end of the day! All in all a complete prat so far up himself....

Even without a bulb it'll fail (bulb lights up when ign on to prove it works, hence no bulb no pass).... Mine passed with intermittant ABS issue as the light went out when tested (1in 3 times it'll stay lit), I'm waiting for complete break down before testing as had VAG COM on it but inconclusive... I guess if you took the light unit out the dash an replaced with a blank... However I guess an MOT inspector's savvy enough to realise it has ABS when he looks under the bonnet! Think you'll have to just take the hit mate...

Thought I was the only one! ;) However I agree, subtle drop will help enormously.. Brakes on mine are great so maybe just a case of having fluids and pads changed? Welcome again...

Have one that came out of a 924 that fitted my Skyrocket perfectly, haven't tried it in teh Rado yet as still waiting for a decent day to do amp wiring, oh and it's stored somewhere at my folks... Basically measure between the suspension mounts and go from there..
