  1. Yup first thing that came to mind was S3.... Awsome work Jay, but as always we need more pics.... ;) Come on hurry up! :D
  2. Tom, Gutted for you, esp after my "near miss". Was anything knicked off of it? To me it seems strange that you get a new set of wheels and that night the car goes....
  3. delfinis38, probably seen some of my old motors lurking about then? I was a member of Lo'E' Nuf for a few years... had a hand in Neil's "Playbus" too ;) They were: Apple green (bright!) 75 bug White CC Golf Cabby Peppermint Green bay (with a stoved in front) The Notch Burgundy and white on 1/2 detailed Pedrinis Split Single Cab (moss green over white, Polished Empi 5's) Trekker (mostly red oxide with a german flag bonnet and BRM's) Fastback, Peru green (mid green) on black and polished Mahles
  4. ROFL no V5..... wonder why?
  5. Phil..... You got your yet???? CHARGER [/quote:e78eb] I know something you don't know.. Super-dooper-charger.....
  6. I Love that Word..... SAY IT AGAIN !!!!!! Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger Charger
  7. Yeah had a couple of "showers" got dragged into it kinda by a guy from Chinnor who ran a bug called Hot Snot... 71 Slammed Peppermint green looker, also did "Baby Bootle" the shortest bug (think it probably still holds that title too)...
  8. I've tried... but no joy.... Apparently he doesn't use it either (been SORN'd for last 3 years!) mtc R32, One word... CHARGER!
  9. Will, technically if they've hit your car and not left a note then it's same as driving away from the scene of an accident? If they don't come back to you, call the Plod (then let their tyres down  )
  10. Marcus, let me tell you a little story about my Notch (the one in my sig). I'd had it a few years and done a fair bit to it (new "Racing" engine, lowered, Rare Porsche Mag wheels etc) Loved it and polished it every weekend... more than I ran it! She was getting to the point of me taking her to pieces and doing a full show car job on her.... Went to RTTS one year and as I was getting out I said to the missus "I'm betting bored, think I'll sell her". That evening some bloke knocks on the caravan door and asks if its for sale as his mate heard me talking to the missus. I say yes everything has a price... Anyway looks over it, take him for a drive. He ums and ahs takes my number. Calls a few weeks later, comes to see that car again, ums and ahs, goes away. Comes over a 3rd time with his dad, again test drive etc... Says he'll have it for the full price! (I'd even put it up each time!) I watch it drive off a week later, with a big wad of cash in my pocket, which I promtly spent on my Splittie...and you know what.... Been trying to buy it back ever since! Except he's a Kn*b and won't sell it back to me out of principal as he thinks I stiffed him!
  11. delfinis38, Did you luck out with the reg on the VR6 or was she re-registered? (Noticed it's a "local" plate, I'm ex that-a-way BTW) Don't think I can rememeber seeing either of these about when I was there, but with only 400 miles in 4 years that would explain things! You really should stick them into Stonor's Show and Shine, if they're 1/2 as good as they look in the photos you'll walk the "daily driver" class!
  12. -Neil-, Measure from centre to centre of each wheel if both sides are the same then: a/ It's ok b/ It's been hit really well to keep the beam straight.. From looking at J-BOB's air-ride video I think the rears do tuck slightly....
  13. Sounds like a certain mod.... What is it, silly season? "I'll trade my Rado that I've sweated blood tears and cash over and get a leaky old cabby"
  14. Will have to see if I can "Borrow" a mates workshop then... I'm so not looking forward to this..... The way some of the work's been done on this car (double sided bodge tape on the side repeaters, scotch clips on the wiring..Dodgy exhaust clamps...)the heads will probably be completely knackered...
  15. Any-one know what the pitch of the screws are holding in the headlights so I can get some stainless ones and replace with "Peace of mind" (and copper-slip) when I get round to pulling my lights...
  16. Put my order in before Christmas as did most people on here, I think someone has got a set, just wonder if they are any better. Yan I think JMC had actually got his paws on a set.....
  17. As long as the screws aren't rusted... ;) Well I do have new reflectors to put in as well but wanted to see what the difference with just the bulbs was first.... Another job to go on hold until after the move....
  18. Went to change my headlight bulbs over to my new Halfauds Brilliance bulbs yesterday and couldn't quite believe what a b*st*rd of a job this is on a stock valver! Have to take the battery out to get to the NS, and still couldn't get the bl@@dy clip off the back of the bulb just wouldn't move! Then looked at the OS and almost threw the car across the garage! Who in their right mind designs a car where you have to strip out the airbox to replace a bulb! Anyway the question is how do I get to the OS (drivers) light? I unclipped the airbox but couldn't see a way of clearing the unti to let me get to the back of the light! Or am I doing it all wrong and it's just easier to pull the headlight unit out?
  19. So Kev, hqve yo completely chopped out the VAG loom? I'd prefer a back up just in case... Andy a 4x4 system for me with factory plugs when available...
  20. From The Police :lcop: Whoo hoo! Another toe rag off the streets... And probably learning from his "Peers" how to do it properly without leaving evidence!!!!!!!! Still away from this "inner city" area end of next week and back to leafy Home Counties !
  21. Doarian, what are the rear lights on that? Liking the smoked/clear look... are they stockers or tinted by your fair hand?
  22. So what happened with TSR? When I went down there to get my Cabro's suspension done they provided excellent servce good prices and Tim took me out in the Stealth Jetta VR6 too (damn that was quick!) Mind you that was Years ago...?95?
  23. Wonder if any other VAG shares this? Sure Audi ones are similar.... Would be nice to have heated fans (A-la Passat?)
  24. Why Am I not Surprised? From the 2005 season.... Some people never learn do they? Sheesh!
