It's not too bad (so I've heard) what he has done. Gonna cost him about £200 to get it put right and it's getting done on Wednesday. He's learned the hard way the limits the car has in the wet and was very lucky not to wreck the car (or himself) in the process. Don't think you'll be doing that again in a hurry eh matey

On *cough* private roads of course

My mate Damger Mouse has both warning triangle and first aid kit (jammy bugger) in his G60. First aid kit is still shrink-wrapped but both have been removed and Minidisc multichanger lives in armrest now. Might buy them from him :D

The back aswell!! How'dyou manage that one? High speed reversing manouvre? Will it not polish out?  Sorry, couldn't resist. I could be doing with getting rid of some rattles in the doors aswell and putting LED's in place of doorpins. Want to do Passat conversion also but drivers door sometimes won't unlock with alarm and have to use the key to get in :x :x Think I'll dye my carpets black and mabye the headlining. And a clean too

It should have should it not?

I think they polish the windows with that stuff first anyway Rams. The thing is if the bit that caused the scratches is not dealt with, it will scrape the tint on the window like it has on mine. No point in spending £250 to get the front wondows ruined the first time you roll them down. I think I'll get the door card off and try find the problem before I get mine re-done so it doesn't happen again. The name of that polish would be great though cause the outside of the windows and headlamps can get done with it to help make it all look newer. Cheers mate 8)

This is for my mate who is on the forum but too busy to do it himself. The inlet hose from the airbox to the charger has 3 big holes in it so he's loosing loads of boost. We "fixed" it using lots of gaffa tape as a temporary measure. Phoned local stealer and they told me it is OBSOLETE!!!!! Any suggestions? I thought it might be worthwhile him getting an induction kit from Jabba or similar. Can someone tell me if this is a good idea of does someone make a better induction kit. The charger is standard at the mo but he wants to upgrade it sometime soon. Carbon canister is removed and air box cut away at the mo. Any suggestions welcome as the gaffa tape is a very temporary measure. He noticed a big difference in power when we sorted the holes

You could try http://www.venommotorsport.com They have a few Corrado bumpers 'n' stuff. Want to replace mine eventually aswell so I can get a bigger IC and I don't fancy chopping a hole in the front bumper.
-
Here's the photos I said I'd put up (eventually)! If I push it down it sits right but pops right back up. MAbye someone has opened the boot holding the spoiler at some point  Any ideas guys?
-
Looks like the spoiler is bent upwards slightly on the drivers side. Doesn't quite go all the way down. Hopefully I can adjust it cause I don't want to have to buy a new spoiler :x
-
They are £7.95 each and you can phone them on:- 01159785740 or go to their website http://www.candrenterprises.co.uk Happy shopping

Looks to me like my rear spoiler is sitting too high at one side when it is down. Can it be adjusted or is it broken? I'll put some pics up this afternoon to give you guys an idea of what I'm on about. Thanks 8)

This has happened a few times before (even before I got my Clifford fitted). Pressed the button to unlock my car and the drivers door didn't unlock. The door pin came up then fell back down... no access! Usually if this happens I leave the var for 5-10 minutes and trya again and it works but last night I tried something different. I disarmed the alarm and put it on valet mode, locked it again so the alarm was not activated and tried to unlock it with my key. First time it opened for me!!!!! Now as I was unlocking the door with the key, the rest of the doors unlocked with the key almost fully turned but the drivers door remained locked. Once the key was turned as far as it could go there was a click and the door pin popped up and the door was unlocked. Any suggestions? Do I need to remove the handle and grease up the locking mech or is it the pump on that side that has gone? Help please 'cause I don't want to put Passat rear handles on it if this is going to happen. Thanks in advance 8)

Beep beep beep beep oil pressure buzzer driving me mad
biggrim replied to spoier's topic in Engine Bay
Just to be safe I replaced all 3 sensors and so far no beeps and correct temperature is reading. Here are the part numbers for you: On the right of the block as you look at it from the front where the charger takes it's oil feed I had a brown sensor. It has now been superceeded by a blue one and the part number is 028919081D On top of the oil filter housing there are two sensors/switches. The one closest to the block is black and the part number is 068919081 Closest to the radiator is a smaller sensor that is different from the others and is white. The part number for this is 049919563A If you get these and replace the old ones the problem should go away like mine. I wanted to replace the cheap bits first and if that didn't work at least I knew it was something more expensive needing fixed. Hope this is of use to you mate 8)
