  1. I tinted mine red a while ago, required a lot of red to make them look like the bottom half, they looked great but ended having to tut cut some of the red off, cause they shined too red, now the top half looks dark orange, which doesent look so good, heard about the green indicator trick, so im thinking about re tinting them again and using green bulbs, just wonering if anyones tryed it yet?, does it work?

Instead i was thinking about buying some all clear fks, then tinting them red, shouldnt need anywhere near as much red tint on those, so maybe they will shine more orange, or could maybe fit yellow bulbs in them, then they should shine orange

    What do you think?

  2. Need to get 2 new coilovers now...o dear

Coated them in loads of wd40, then tryed the coilover spanner on them, wouldnt budge, then put part of an old exhaust pipe over the spanner for more leverage, all that did was rip chunks out of the plattform, and bent the spanner,

So the only option i had left was to use some plumber stilsons (big ones) on them, and they are siezed on so much that ive atchully twisted the whole shock

    £299 for 2 rear spax coilovers.....o dear

  3. Going by my past expierences:

I think you kind of get what you pay for regarding painting/respraying, had the bonet and wing resprayed on my old 16v on the cheap, and sure, it does look good when its first done, but with mine after a few months, what looked like little bubles started to appear arround the crease of the wheel arch and some on the bonet, then I was later told by someone that it was moisture underneth the paint.

I think £900 sounds about right for a top notch job for the front end

  4. The rear spring plattforms on my spax coilovers appear to be siezed on, they wont wind up or down

They were on the car when i bought it, so i've got no instructions, but they are supposed to able to wind up and down whilest on the car right?...or am i missing something?,

    any ideas?

  5. Yep. I lost count of how many people asked me at inters what they were. :)

    J

Dam it!!, you've beaten me to it!!, been pondering on that idea for quite a while now, at least now i will know what they will look like on a corrado

Your car looks great by the way.

Should have my new wheels on soon, you'll have to pop round and have a look

  6. Just read on a page off the net, and its says the date is 1st of august 92

it also said its not the law to have a cat, you've just got to pass the emmisions test, which in most cases you need a cat to do that........but my car passed the emmisions test without a cat

  7. I thought all k reg cars should have cat, mines a 92 k reg and my local garage said it has to have cat, he looked it up in the book, im sure he said the date was about aprill 92, if thats true, it means late j plates should have a cat aswell

Could be wrong...but i think thats what he said

  8. I dont think there are any advantages on putting 9s on the back cause the car is fwd, if you are definately sure you want 7.5s on the front, then it would be best to put 7.5s on the rear also, cause with 9s on the rear, imo the car would look a bit odd cause the rear wheels would be so much more deep dished than the front

If it was me i would put 9s on the front and back, but its your car so its up to you

  9. Sorry, i couldnt tell you how much it costs, or how they done it, it was included in the price of the 20vt conversion and they were already on my car when i got it,

I do know they are custom hybrid ones, they didnt shorten the existing ones,

Check out there webpage, go to conversions, mine is the featured corrado, its got the full spec

  10. If you look closely, one bolt screws through the addapter and into the hub, and the other 4 bolts screw into the addapter

...Hmmm, how safe are they tho? Especially as you only have one bolt holding the adapter to the hub, and then 4 bolts placing additional stress on the adapter?!! :?:

No, there's 4 bolts holding the adapter to the hub, 3 bolts going through just the adapter into the hub (underneth the wheel), and one bolt going through the wheel and adapter into the hub, the 4 remaining holes in the 5 stud wheel screw only into the adapter

  11. Yeah, you would probably have to buy a higher offset, if you were to run 15mm adapters, you wouldnt necessarily need to get a wheel with an offset 15mm higher, maybe get them in a 10mm higher offset than standard, they look better spaced out a bit

  12. No, there not double adapters, althou they do double adapters aswell for a different aplication

Look at the system 4L adapters on the website, they are the ones, the double adapters are system x, they are different

The ones on german ebay are 15mm thick and 20mm thick

  13. Found these on german ebay, quite interesting

They are one piece addapters that convert 4x100 to 5x100, they are made by scc

If you look closely, one bolt screws through the addapter and into the hub, and the other 4 bolts screw into the addapter

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEBWA:IT

    And here is SCC's website

    http://www.spurverbreiterung.de/frame.php?lan=uk

Go to catalogue section, then to "addaption wheel spacers" (addaption system 4L are the ones)

Im sure this might interest a few of you, i never thought a 4x100 to 5x100 addapter was possible till now

  14. From what you guys are saying im starting to think this is us spec thing, hence why they are saying the vr6 discs wont fit

Maybe the us slc/vr6 setup is slightly different to the uk vr6, could that be the case?
