Hows the corado situation coming along mate? any closer to getting one yet?

its the standard golf ECU, in standard 150bhp form

I dont think its the law to have a cat, but the car has to pass the emmissions test, and to do that you ushally need a cat But my car has a cat bypass pipe, and my car was made after the law came in, and it passed the emmissions test, and its mot, without a cat

i think the engine was made before 2000, because it is a AGU block, i did find a reciept for a coil pack in the history folder, so one of them has been replaced at some point and it wasnt that expensive How do i go about finding which one is faulty?

o yeah, the previous owner said somthing about the coil packs failing, i will look into it It uses the golf management aswell

not too sure how many of you are familyer with the 20vt engine, but i have a problem with mine somtimes at low revs, it misfires, then a big bang comes from the exhaust, then everything goes dead for a spilt second, the exauast sometimes pops normally, but nothing as loud as this, also somtimes when im accelerating it also missfires. other times it just runs nomally any ideas?

i have 54k on my 20vt at the moment, and i ushally cover arround 3-4k a year, not much really as i use a works van for work Probably do a bit more in the new year, im planning to go to a few car shows

lovely colour, i would of settled for a corrado in that colour when i was looking for my black one, i also almost went to see a vr6 in that colour, but it was sold

I havent got 16" wheels on my corrado, i have 17" I should imagine a 16x7 wheel would be the best, with a 205/45/16 or a 205/40/16 tyer The vr6 lug pattern is 5x100, and the wheel offset is 40 (i think) as i say, i dont use 16" wheels, so im not 100% sure thats correct, but im sure some one else will correct me if im wrong

Thanks for the advice guys so what does hi pass and low pass mean on the amp then?, i though it meant you could put lows to sub and hi's and mids to 6x4s, at the same time

Im still a little lost, i wont be runing 6x9s, i have 6x4 kenwoods that are in the original speaker pods, not sure what bi-wireable means, or tri-mode, or how to select it on the amp here are some pictures, which might help will i need coils for the 6x4s, or does the amp do it? More help would be great, sorry about the picture quality (phone camera)

Ive just bought a 2nd hand vibe vp2 amp, it has no instructions I want to wire up one 12" jl audio sub and 2 6x4 kenwood speakers the amp is 2 chanel, it has low and high pass crossovers (not sure exsackely how that works), i want all the bass going to the sub, and mids and hi's going to the 6x4s would i need separate crossovers if i wanted just the hi's and mids going to th 6x4s, or if conected the sub to the + on the right hand channel and the minus to the left hand channel, and connect the 6x4s in the normal way, would the sub automatically take all the bass if connected in this way? do i wire it up a different way to that?

Yeah, i did see that they are intended for an enclosure, but i was going to try and seal off the audioscape builds, so they will be in a small enclosure

i've decided to go for the brembo conversion, im still a little unsure about the rear thou, my corrado was originally a 16v, so it has 16v brakes at the back, are they the same as the g60 rear brakes?

Im going to get my ecu reprogramed soon, then i should be getting arround 220bhp Im thinking that ill need to upgrade the brakes to cope with the extra power, im running standard 16v brakes at the moment with the acception of ebc front grooved discs. i was thinking of upgrading to g60 brakes, i hear they are larger in diameter than the 16v I know some of you g60 boys are running 200-220bhp, have you done anything to your brakes to cope with the extra power? What would i need to get to upgrade to g60 brakes?

the later wings are definately wider, i compared my later corado with my old early 16v before it was sold

The corrado i was looking at was A20 LEE's from this forum: http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=56 He has 8.5x17s with a 32mm offset with 205/40/17 tyers I know i will have trouble finding a wheel with a 24mm offset, so if i want to achieve that same look, i could order the wheel with the 32mm offset, and then use 8mm spacers all round?
