  1. Found these on german ebay, quite interesting They are one piece addapters that convert 4x100 to 5x100, they are made by scc If you look closely, one bolt screws through the addapter and into the hub, and the other 4 bolts screw into the addapter http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEBWA:IT And here is SCC's website http://www.spurverbreiterung.de/frame.php?lan=uk Go to catalogue section, then to "addaption wheel spacers" (addaption system 4L are the ones) Im sure this might interest a few of you, i never thought a 4x100 to 5x100 addapter was possible till now
  2. From what you guys are saying im starting to think this is us spec thing, hence why they are saying the vr6 discs wont fit Maybe the us slc/vr6 setup is slightly different to the uk vr6, could that be the case?
  3. So the mark 3 hubs have same spine pattern as the c vr6 hubs, but the c vr6 hubs are slightly larger in diameter?, is that right? So if i was to use mk3 hubs, there would be no need to get 1mm machined off the outside edge of the hub as explained in the littlespiderdesign website? Im still unsure about the vr6 discs thou, there are 5 seperate threads on it on the vortex forum, and they all say the vr6 discs wont fit? http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?& ... 29#5331929
  4. exactlly ... I really wish it was as simple as that, i've searched the web for months and months, and found lots of info and ways of doing it, and no ones mentioned using mkIII hubs, surley if it was that simple, there would be no need for companies to make conversion hubs? vr6 front discs wont fit, different offset yeah, the rear is simple, vr6 rear discs
  5. I had a look at the littlespiderdesign website a few months back when i first started thinking about the conversion, the guy that did that conversion is on the vortex forum, and the eurospec hubs were not available at the time when he did the conversion Yeah the way im doing it does sound a bit expensive, probably cause i want to use 305mm discs and 4 pot caliapers, But the main part of the conversion is the hub, if you were to use vr6 hubs, you will need vr6 outter cv joints also, and you would need to get 1mm machined off the outside edge of the hub, and new holes drilled for your abs rings (if your car has abs) In my opinion, buying the eurospec hubs would be the best option, i emailed eurospec and the 2 hubs including p&p to england costs $175, i think thats about £100, ok maybe a little more expensive, but alot less hasle Ok...now on to the discs, there are no right discs to buy really, the vr6 discs wont fit, so if you want to aviod drilling yours discs, you could maybe ask black diamond, or any other brake manufactorer if you could buy some blank g60 discs, before they've drilled the 4x100 pattern in them, and then get them drilled to 5x100 yourself. Eurospec do a complete 280mm conversion kit for $325, but i think the discs they supply with that particular kit are 4x100 drilled to 5x100 not sure what the postage on that would be though They do other complete kits starting at 288mm where you would get proper 5x100 discs included Take a look: http://www.eurospecsport.com/
  6. And here are the polk audio ones, not quite as powerful as phoenix golds http://www.polkaudio.com/car/specs.php?name=mmc460
  7. These are the best, most powerfullest and maybe the most expensive 6x4s you can buy, im going to be geting a pair for my corrado soon http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... =852&tab=2
  8. I didnt have any problems with buying my wheels from german ebay, i did contact the seller first thou, and i did get a reply, i paid him via a wire transfer, and it only cost me arround £50 to ship them to england
  9. Some germans have paypal, i paid euros into a paypal account in germany for some gold rim bolts for my new wheels
  10. He must go thru wheel bearings on a weekly basis :?
  11. Yeah, there are ways, i will have to do it soon when put my new wheels on, eurospec sport in the US sell the custom hubs then i'm gunna get some custom 305mm rotors and bells in a 5 stud pattern to run with my brembo cailapers The rear is simple, just buy some vr6 rear discs
  12. It's likely that they wont do them in a 4 stud thou, that the only problem with us non-vr6 boys :(
  13. I'm going to have to wind my spring platforms up on my coilovers (on the rear) so when i fit my 9x17s they sit under the spring platform, I wont have to wind them up very far, but far enough to make the rear end a little too high for my liking I've had a look on the h&r website and they do nice selection of springs, in different lengths with an inside diameter of 6mm, i presume thats the same diameter as my coilover springs Does anyone know where i can get these h&r springs in the UK?, or are there any other companies that make shortened springs for coilovers? Also, is there such a thing as lowered top mounts for the rear, or are they just for the front?
  14. Rieger also make those same design skirts (not the m3 ones)
  15. This a picture of julez and me, julez is from this forum, he used to own a g60, sold it to another forum member, (dangermouse, i think) Im the one on the right The picture was taken at a nightclub in bournemouth last summer
  16. Ah..yes, when i said i just bought those same wheels, i should of said they will be slightly smaller width ways The ones i inntend to fit are 8.5x17 front and 9x17 back with 215/35/17 tyres, i will have to roll all of the archs, ill have to make sure i get a correct off set by experimenting with different thickness addaptors If there are going to be any problems, it will probably be the rears, but i am confident they will fit, i am running coilovers. The inside lip of the wheel, and part of the tyre will sit just under the spring plattform on the rear. Also i will be using 215/35 tyres apposed to 215/40, so that will give me some more clearance I dont see the fronts as a problem, i've seen many corrados with 8.5s up front on stock aches rolled, ive also got the slightly wider front wings as my corrado is the later shape, and again the 215/35 tyres will give me a bit more room
  17. One of my rear tyres has worn out more arround outter side of the tyre than the inside What could be causing this?, could it be the camber out?, althou it doesent look it
  18. Heres a picture of a corrado with the exsact same wheels and size ill be fitting http://www.vwcorrado.de/grafik/m_fotos_htm/monat8-1.htm
