  1. just a question I have a set of MK3 Recaros can I just transfer the foam over from the reacros into the rado original seat bases or I need to transfer the entire seat base? thanks in advance.

    HID into Rado lights

    The set i got is from Philips and there is deflector in them for the H4 style replacement/upgrade kit, so i think I should be ok will fix them in a day or 2 whem i got the time. Beware of the GBP80 ones as hey are from China and poor quality, the ballast & the bulb have been known to blow pretty easily.

  4. Hi managed to get a set of 6000k HID Philips kit for less than £200 and wanna put it into my rado. Just wondering can the standard reflectors take the heat? What are they made of plastic or metal? any help on tis appreciated.
  5. Thanks for the prompt reply I am not looking into lowering the car at all if possible as the roads here could get nasty and front lip will go very soon! I have got all the bushes/top mount changed with the standard original stuff, so thats alright, so its possible to maintain almost original height with the PSS and PSS9 is just to hard am i right? Thanks again

Weitec are the same company as KW who's coilovers are used extensively in top level motorsport (German DTM/WTC etc),so i'd imagine the're very good. i think basically you won't go far wrong with Bilstein,Eibach,H&R or KW - all top coilover manufacturers..i can tell you from experience the Bilstein PSS coilover kit is super smooth as is the H&R Comfort kit or whatever it's called. I am thinking to go the PSS coilover as well, so they actually make the car ride smoother than standard? I do not want to lower the car too much either, maybe just an inch is that possible or even on the highset setting it will lower the car 40mm? your help on this appreciated.

  8. Hi guys, KW Variante 2 seems to lower the car 60mm even at maximum height!! I so not want to lower the car that much as roads are sh!ts here as well. I don't mine 25mm lowering is that right? Also how would PSS and PSS9 compares to the KW's?

  11. yah I think the rear end of a rado is rather tail happy just happen to me last week in a car park where the cemnt floor was slight damp, when in with power thru a 180 lifrted off mid bend and the tail came around opposite lock and gas it at the same time came out heading straight!! Thats oncement flooring though and running T1R with 99% tread all round!! Just remember to gas it whenthe tail comes around a syou will be tranfering weight to the back and be especially cautios if you r running an additional ARB at the back!! I say Very Cautious as it will be very tail happy same on the MK2 golfs as well!!
  12. Oh forget to mention I am running 7X16 ET31 Audi TT rims so no rubbing issues at the back and the ride is slightly harder now. Still undecided which way togo?
  13. No mention On PSS9 Coilover Kits? I am thinking whether to go the Coilover route or Eibach ARB kit, which will give best bang for the money. I can't lower the car too much as the roads are bad in Malaysia. I coulld get the PSS9 at very good price from a mate here roughly twice the price of ARB. feedback will be welcome

  15. The head should be the same and cams a s well as we measured the lift both cams they were the same but part nos on cams are different though? On ETKA the head are the same so are the cams??? for oth the AAA and ABV? Anyway I have removed the cam so I should have gain afew BHP from there right? So am I closer to the 190bhp?
  16. Hi Guys, My original ABV block is knackered as the previous owner overheated it! I am know running the AAA with the original ABV, ECU,Intake manifold and throttle body. Typically how many BHP is lost from the lost of 70cc? I know remap is the awy to go but we do not have Vince of Stealth around the corner!! Thanks guys

    VR6 Air Conditioning

    The system from a passat and a late MK2golf blower cooling coil will fit make sure its from a lhd. I have fitted a RHD passat blower and cooling coil unit (Valeo makes it) into my C. Its miles better than the Diavia unit which my C came with.

  19. Hi wanted to know what temp you guys a running, mine will get upto a 100c with air con on hot 32-35C afternoons which is frequent in Malaysia. is this normal or I am running into dangerous territory? My golf VR6 rarely get up pass 90c?
  20. Thanks guys for yr. reply the other differences besides the bore are, ECU, throttle body, Intake manifold which i could see yah. But it stil weird that the Part nos for the cams are different?! Weird :wink:
  21. Double-6s yes i am there are only about 5 in the country and Vr6 there 4, 2 autos and 2 manuals, and 1 G60!! Just need somme help to know if there is a difference? mMaesured both camms there are the same. So do anyone know id the the camms are the same?
  22. Just check the etka the last albhabet for the cam are different between the ABV and AAA but the head and complete with cams are the same!!! Are there major difference? which is better I suppose the ABV? Thanks in advance.
  23. Hi Guys I am new to the forum and just pick up a VR6 radowith 49K on the clock, when I bought the car I new that it needed hydraulic lifters. Have got them changed and the noise is still there but not as loud, it not the normal VR6 lifter or chain noise from our experience? The mechanic is saying it could be a worn camshaft or the part that lock the cams are worn!! Any ideas where this sound is coming from? You guys might be saying why did I buy the car when there is the lifters noise, reason is there is only one VR rado with a manual box in Malaysia that we know off, the other 2 are automatic and another a G60 so its very rare. Also I have checked on the ETKA and see that the cams of the ABV engine is diferent from the AAA engines, if there is what is the difference. If we can't find a solution to the noise i might have to lift the cyclinder head from my spare AAAengine. thanks in advance
