  1. and i want to do some preventive and routine maintenance...it needs the coolant flushed very badly the car runs hot and the coolant temp guage doesnt work...the coolant looks like water and has little black particles in it...so i want to flush it i get half off everything at my work so ill get the coolant flushed for $30 but my question is what coolant do i need to use?...and how much does the g60 hold?... also is it smart to do a power steering flush?... the brakes are kinda weird so im going to get them flushed....the pads and rotors have recently been replaced with some nicely sized drilled rotors that sit behind some brand new 17's...i think it just needs them bled also where should the idle be on a corrado?...mine is either JUST below 1k rpms(or 900) or around 750...i think one of the reasons the idle inst perfect is because the supercharger is bypassed? also ummm this car has 30lb injectors in it since the supercharger is bypassed...will i be running mad rich? or is it ok to run like this until i get the supercharger rebuilt? also i went to do an oil change today and noticed that the plug is stripped...not the plug threads or the oil pan but the hex key hole is stripped so i have no idea how to get it out...the oil is pretty dirty and i want to replace it with valvoline full synthetic ...whats the ideal weight for a florida(usa) average temp 75-90ºF climate?.. and any other maintenance i should take care of?...tons of maintenance was just recently done by the previous owner like front axle shafts, wheel bearings, waterpump, timing belt, spark plugs and wires, engine just rebuilt, new main bearings, connecting rods and bearings, new pistons and rings cylinders were bored, cylinder head cleaned, ported and polished, intake manifold port matched, throttle bored and polished, new electric cooling fan, all exterior and interior trim peices replaced, new wheels and tires, new suspension(carrera coil overs??) new exhuast(but it has a leak so im going to get a performance exhuast) tons and tons of stuff done to this car i just purchased it like 2 weeks ago and just got the car in my possesion last night because it was at the shop for over a month dealing with a blown supercharger(leaking oil seals) so its now bypassed i will be sending the charger to either kompressor canada or bahn brenner and having them completely rebuild an adding an 11mm cog belt 68mm pully, porting and polishing on intake and outlet ports, and some other stuff so is there anything else you guys suggest i take care of?..i mean this car was maintained immaculately i will be posting pictures in a couple minutes ummm hmmm lets see...i guess thats about it any help is appreciated
  2. when im driving on the freeway doing 75ish mph the rear hatch starts to shake and any faster it starts to shake violently...what the hell could be causing this?
  3. is it designed to be used with the supercharger?....because it still works in my rado BUT alot of stuff is not accurate or doesnt read properly(supercharger is bypassed) like oil temp etc etc...now it also says MFA 1 is there an MFA 2? and how to i switch to two?...i guess my question is how am i supposed to use this MFA thing? ive never seen anything like it...my e30 had an on board computer which was kind of related i think? but way different
  4. i was just wondering no need for attitude

    exhausts

even if the mounts are different just weld some new mounts/hangers
  7. i was wondering if the corrado has any sought after exterior kits that everyone longs for?... just curious because ive owned an e30 for a while and i know that the mtech kits are THE most wanted kits (aswell as breyton kits) i was wondering if the corrado has any extremely tasteful looking kits
  8. are there any wideband o2 (lambda) sensors for the g60?
  9. ok apparently before i purchased the g60 the previous owner brought the car into the shop because something about the fan constantly staying on or something along those lines i cant remember properly...but i guess the shop disconnected some sensor or something and it cured the problem...but not when ever the car is on the temp guage does not budge until driving for about an hour then it starts to go up...so after 20 minutes of driving the temp guage in the guage cluster is always at 0º what could this cause be?..and what should i do to fix it?...if i connect the sensor that the shop disconnected and the fan constantly stays on that means that the sensor was bad right?..or the sensorS...im guessing that would be quite logical?...then i'd just replace that sensor and all should be good?...but i have no idea how corrados are ive never worked on one this is the first one ive ever owned..so any help is appreciated
  10. im new to corrados...and apparently the supercharger that i got for my g60 was rebuilt(well i got wenzled) i had it installed at a shop and now there is lots of smoke pouring out of the exhuast kinda like the supercharger isnt sealing the oil and its leaking past the seals and going into the intake then being burnt and out the exhuast it goes....i know the supercharger is is messed up .. because the car was running perfectly fine while the supercharger was bypassed although slow it still ran good...now my question is ...when this supercharger was installed and started pouring smoke out the exhuast could it have damaged the engine?...what damage could it cause if any...and should i attempt to rebuild the supercharger? or should i go another route?...i have $1,000(usd) available to me to do with the supercharger as i please?...i dont know if i can get a new one for that much or if i can rebuild this one?...or if there are other superchargers i can purchase etc ...like i said im new to the corrado.. but i do know about cars in general(mostly bimmers) i will be doing all the work myself whichever route i go...but im wondering whats the best thing to do supercharger wise for 1k
  11. my corrado has 89,300 original miles but less then 10k on the new engine my bmw e30 (87) has 230,000 and still pulls strong all the way to redline
  12. ok once i get the car back i will check everything and replenish the brake fluid i may aswell get new pads aswell i will check the rotors and get them shaved if they need it
  13. EPROM DR.AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER LEVER CONNECTING PIECE HOSE OWNER OWNER SHEET METAL SEALING SET U.HOSE B.HOSE CLIP NUT/MOTHER SEAL SEALING RING CAM-WAVE FEATHER/SPRING SEALING PLATE RI-DISK THIS CALCULATION CONTAINS 146.55 DM DEDUCTION
  14. lol walk away i found a spectacular deal after looking for a long time i finally found what i wanted...89,300 orig miles new engine and super charger, the glove box of the car has about 600 receipts/records of previous maintenance, services, and performance parts, the car is immaculate brand new paint interior is mint....the car has been serviced by one european specialty shop its entire life. i got it for $4800 (USD) this is a steal. there are tiny things that i dont like about the car but are very easily changable point is look good and hard for the car you want dont jump on the first one that catches your attention, ive wanted a corrado for a couple years now and just a couple months ago started looking ALOT for a nice one and i found one
  15. agreed...no respect for other peoples belongings... its asinine
  16. ok the car is lowered with sport springs and sport shocks but the rear shocks were bad and they were replaced with boge stock shocks....is this whats causing the slightly bouncy ride?...if i replaced the rear shocks with say...bilstein sport shocks...will it be still bouncy? or should that clear it up?
  17. brake fluid is full i will check everything else once i get the car back(its getting supercharger installed)
  18. can you please elaborate on the other problems it maybe?i will be purchasing a bently manual shortly and i just recently started at an automovtive technical college so im learning as i go please bear with me
  19. damn...ok so i should probably bleed the brakes?
  20. btw i forgot to add other then the pedal feel it still stops fine i just dont like how the pedal gets softer and softer
  21. ok the brakes in this g60 are kind of weird i dont know if its a vw thing or if theres something wrong with the brakes..but i will try to explain it say im at 45mph and i hit the brake pedal it is quite firm but then the slower i get the softer the brake pedal gets and the further it travels... so for example i hit the brakes at 45mph brake pedal is nice and firm, 35 brake pedal is a little softer, 25mph the brake pedal is moving closer to the floor, 10mph the brake is almost to the floor.......i guess it feels like the brake pedal is speed sensative the slower im going the the softer the brake pedal feels and the further it travels ....like i said is this normal on a corrado? or is something wrong? if my example is not good enough please say so and i will try to explain it again
  22. just bore the cylinders and get oversized pistons boom good as new

    oil

ok i have used the search button but it didnt help me at all because apparently you guys have different oil over in the UK? ummm i was wondering what viscosity oil i should use here in the states we have 5w-20, 5w30, 10w-30, 10w-40, 15w-20, 15w-30, 15w-50 etc with the higher numbers being thicker weight oil i live in a hot climate (florida USA) average temps even in winter are around 70º Fahrenheit ive never owned a corrado or better yet ive never owned a supercharged or turbo charged car so i dont really know what types of oil to use...i was thinking mobil 1 extended performance full synthetic 10w-30? but i would like some opinions thanks
  24. here in the states at the fuel pumps 87 octane is the lowest 89octane is medium and 92-94 octane is the highest
  25. it is not green...the body color is actually a very very dark blue but in certain types of light it can look either green or purple it is a very sexy color and in personm looks amazing it was just recently resprayed and lots of little dents and dings were fixed....and again i agree the grill is quite ugly but it does not look as bad in person i will be buying a nicer grill once i have the car in my possession
