  2. im not sure if this is a recaro interior as im new to corrados but is this it? bad picture i know i will get new ones soon the steering wheel must be replaced
  3. not all of us americans are completely ignorant you know? i agree that most are and 90% of americas do not know how to drive sometimes it seems like they got there liscense from a kids meal at mc donalds but like i said not all of us americans are stupid and i personally dont like being called a yank
  4. its actually a very dark blue but in certain light it turns purplish
  5. yes it is a very very clean car like i said these puctures dont do it justice... as soon as i saw the car i had to have it ive wanted a corrado for a very long time and found i got real lucky with the price of this car i cant wait to get another camera
  6. :offtopic1: theres still a such thing as mechanics? i thought they were called technicians now... i know when i graduate id rather have the title of technician instead of mechanic :-P
  7. they are enkie RS-5's i love the look of them they have fusion tires right now (not the best) but i will be going with a better tire once these wear out they have about 100% tread left and the wheels are brand new they cost about $900 with the tires do they make alpina type wheels for the corrado? cause i think those would look smokin on these cars
  8. oh awesome thanks for the info that will help me alot lol
  9. lol yes i know i already said that was going to be replaced i also said these are pictures from the previous owner
  10. ok i have only driven this car once...what exactly is the MAF? is it like the AFM on an e30? air flow meter? or is is like a guage? this car has the little guage pods on the window with a boost guage and i forgot the other...is there a built in oil temp guage? and please explain what the MAF is? this is only the second car ive ever owned...but i am in college for autommoive technician so i know some stuff about cars and i worked on my bmw alot but this car is much different it will take some time getting used to...like i said the car has gobs of modifications done to it i have listed some of the mods in the other two threads i have started tonight one in the engine bay section and the other in drivetrain section...so you can check them out if you want to the car has the glove compartment completely full of reciepts and service records etc etc honestly theres about 3-400 peices of paper and i read it all there is lots of money into this car it is absolutely immaculate, spotless, unsoiled very very clean once i purchased a digital camera and the supercharger gets installed i will take some nice pics i will be getting the car buffed and polished once it is in my possession
  11. hell im a newbie to the forum and to volkwagons but i couldnt pass up buying this car...i own an e30 bmw and just purchased this car it has LOTS of modifications to much to list anyways these pictures are from the previous owner the supercharger is currently being bypasded and waiting to be reinstalled... the car looks so much better in the flesh these pictures do no justice at all and the front grill is kind of ugly so that will be replaced with a nicer grill
  12. once the rebuilt supercharger is installed i will be able to pick it up i have a few questions this is the only FI car i have ever owned/driven i usually drive a bmw e30. anyways the g60 has low compression. with oversized forged concaved pistons, bored cylinders, port/polished head, intake and exhuast manifold with a thick headgasket and also has a stage 3 chip and numerous other performance modifications, i will need to run premium fuel? 90+ octane? or can i use standard 87? does this car need aftermarket engine fuel/air management? or can i just keep the stage III chip and be allset? also there is some kind of temperature on the guage cluster (the guage farthest to the left on the guage cluster) does not work? apparently they took out something that made it not work because it kept the fan on too long? i dont really understand this too well? anywyas if i think of some more questions i will ask...and yes i do know how to use the search button thank you
  13. thank you very much i am glad it should not be a serious problem i will continue with the purchase.....this car is unbeleivable and i got it for dirt cheap because the guy just bought an SL 500 or something along those lines with the AMG badgeso he just said he needed room and really doesnt need the money so i asked if he could take 5000 cash (he was asking for 6900) and he said absolutely so i made the deposit so as soon as the supercharger is installed and running properly i oay him for the car...i think i got a very good deal here
  14. i just don purchased myself a corrado and i noticed something when i when to check out the gear box i tested all the gears and it was very hard to find the correct gear...i am used to driving a bmw e30 and the corrado is very hard to find the gears also on the vw's you have to push the shift lever then put it into reverse...well my car is like that but it also goes into reverse without pushing the shift lever down....what could cause this to happen....its very very hard to find first gear because it always goes into either reverse or 3rd 2nd and fourth are kind of hard to find it feels like a money shift might happen soon...is this serious? should i return the car? it has alot of work done to it performance wise and the entire car inside and out is in mint condition there was a book of receipts in the glove box = a total of around $12k+ in maintenance and performance parts the car 89k original miles but the bottom end has been rebuilt, with oversized low compression pistons, and the block was also bored to accompany the pistons less then 12k miles ago, The cylinder head was ported and polished, intake manifold port matched, aftermarket exhuast manifold, rebuilt supercharger, umm i forget the duration of the camshaft but its somwhere in between 265 and 270º i cant remember i have to look at all the receipts again, it also has an Authority stage III chip(im not sure how these work on g60s since its supercharged but i know how they work on an e30) anyways it also has lots of suspension mods etc tons of replacement parts like ac system was overhauld, new radiator, starter, timing belt, etc etc the list goes on and on, the entire car was just resprayed every scratch and knick on the car was repaired the car is flawless other then the whole shifter assembly thing, is this just something i have to get used to or is it something major that shoudl make me want to return this car?it has had two previous owners the one owner who dumped tons and tons of money into this thing and always kept it at the shop getting stuff done to it performance wise, then he got married and his wife told him to sell the car then another guy bought it and took care of the maintenance meticulously the first owner really focused on power from what i can tell by the receipts and the second owner(who i bought it from) focused mainly on suspension and getting all the little stuff fixed like all the exterior trim and the electrical sensors etc etc...there has only been one shop to ever work on this car since brand new so this car has an awesome history but i would really like to know about this transmission problem? thanks and sorry the thread is so long oh and btw this car is currently at the shop i was descriibing above getting a rebuilt supercharger installed.....i test drove the car while the supercharger was bypassed because it was waiting for the shop to installed ...it should be installed by the end of this week if the shop gets time
