Ok got the news! and not good news either! Number 4 Piston has melted :(
-
ok thanks dude! i will keep you updated to let you know thanks again paul
-
yer i thought of it being the gasket and my coolent doesnt stay blue for very long! just a lil wierd for a metal gasket to go after a year from a engine rebuild!
-
no we just bolted it in! as soon as the oil is put in the engine and turned iver it would then be covered in oil. What is the advantage of priming it? thanks paul
-
hay guys just seeing if any1 has had the same epxeriance. i changed my oil pump, spark plugs and coolent. took it for a drive, then got white smoke and the car (smell like burning oil) just didnt run properly the spark plugs are covered in oil, and white smoke even from the spark plug, hole its at my mates garage at the moe and he compression tested it and there is no compression on cylinder 4. so hes taking the head off. any ideas people thanks paul

dude thats fcucking awsome! Family Guy Rocks! cant wait for season 8 on DVD lol
-
havent checked if the fan kick in or not! but its mainly slow driving and stand stills! but if i put my foot down and go like 60 MPH+ the car begins to cool down, but thats what we would expect when the coolent is flowng faster! i will change the thermostat tomorow and flush the system and renew the anti freeze aswell! hi siman good to hear from you buddy! beleive it or not im goin management lol getting my mate at backdraft motorsport to hook me up there pretty good there! i cant remember what brand though, not emerold like kevin at jabba said...even though i have high trust in him and the rest at jabba im passing my car onto some other people for now! Thanks Paul x
-
hay guys, today my G60 was getting hot rather quick! and is sounding quite sloppy during idle! its never really done this after the engine rebuild and the thousands i spent on it! the coolent is little bit brown, which im changing at the end of the month when i put my lightened flywheel, organic clutch, new oil pump and race spec spark plugs. Any ideas on what the problem is? And if you think the work i do in 2 weeks will help? Thanks as always Paul x

ok thanks guys! im goin to crack on with it to moro, im goin to remove the bumper to proceed with it, but i noticed todat that my intercooler i bolted to the rad an sites a lil more to the passenger side so when i have done what i have there will be an 4 inch gay looking straight into the engine bay to i mite just ge a sqaure number plate ande cover it up, i will take pics and let u know how i get on. Thanks ~Paul
-
Hay guys, im sure this has come up a few times, iv started to cut out the number plate section of my front bumper with my dremel coz i have a large front mount intercooler so it will be a direct cold air feed, as Jabba Sport did with there track Corrado and i have seen other people do it also! Iv got about 4 inches in and got to a large metal plate, any ideas to get through it if your have done this b4? Thanks Paul P.S: G60 Newman Performance Cam On E-Bay Item Number : 160311220135

hay bro i sent u a personal email! erm not ot great news but could be worse!
-
Yer Jabba have it in stock! so its worth it u suspose, just more money :( but resulves the issue it resulves the issue....
-
yer its a flowed head by the engine shop.. problem is aswell my mate at backdraft motorsport said map sensors only go to 1.5bar. Iv been on the BBM site and using the 53mm pully will be 1.3 car rather than the 50mm which im using now and produces 1.5+ bar So im feeling that the 53mm pully is the way forword and resolve the issue! what do u think? Thanks Paul
-
Hay guys. My G60 is being mapped and set up and we put the 440cc injectos in and the fueling is perfect! im running the 50mm pully with the BBM charger, 1.9 bore, piper cam etc and at low end its great power like 190BHP at 2000 revs but as it gets to 5000ish the power just falls and tryd to go over 1.5bar of boost and be comes unstable and un efficient. HAs anyone else had remaps with the 50mm pully on BBM screw charger and have problems? Please help Thanks PAul :help: Thats the power graph so far
-
hay bro. only if that was the case! anoying news i sent u an e-mail! the car is way over boosting at hi levels! its trying to go over 1.5 bar so its becoming unstable and not rite! so we have come to a conclusion that were trying a 53mm pully to see if that helps! Did u ge the e-mail simon? Paul

Yer im sure kev will map the revs to what is best! Iv seen a few people say they dont like jabba but didnt say why! TBH its mainly Jabba and G-Workz are there well herd leaders that can do the specialit stuff on the G60's. I did try G-Workz about 8 months ago or so, i spoke to a real helpful guy called Darren. I explained what i wanted doin and i had Thousands that i wanted to spend with them! I wanted the BBM screw charger, upgrade kit and front mount intercooler! So i awaited a response for a week or so and i didnt hear anything back! i even e-mailed as requested! so i bugged them near on every 2 days just getting through to a guy called Rob. I got told yer, yer, yer Darren will call back! and he never did so i carryed on calling once every few days coz i needed the work coz my charger was about to blow! so after a few weeks of calling i spoke to Rob and he told me "er i dont think those chargers will be available for a few months anyway" SO...as u can imagine i got pretty anoyed and called the USA my self and never guess what BBM said "yer i got those chargers in the next 2-3 days" so i ordered it, got it 1 -2 weeks later, fitted the dam thing my self and only got to jabba now! I hear so many good things about G-Workz and my 1st impression of them was great! i understand these guys are busy but all i was asking for was for 15 mins of there time just 2 call BBM, book me in, and get my car done when they have a slot! I was goin to spend £3.5K with them but it felt like they didnt care and just wasnt interested! Maybe its just me i dunno either was i was so dissopointed :( and it dont matter who the customer is, TBH i was always pretty cool with them not getting back to me! But i still feel it was a lil out of order! Or maybe i got it wrong and there was just a lil confussion, i dunno how there would be a lil confussion, but thats just me sticking up for them on there behalf! LOL thats a load of typing i did there, sorry to keep goin on there mate, but it just got me a bit when they did that! Pick up the car in an hour! :)

yer its a bummer the VW's dont go that hi in the Rev range! would be insane to get them over 7,5 like u wanted! ermm they always test drive my car after i hear it go off up the road..But they have never personaly taken me out..Isee other customers test drive there cars before paying. Ihave to admit the customer service and quality of work at Jabba is the best i have seen! iv been to so many motorsport places and every 1 has been great..But theres sumin about Jabba that i feel goes the extra mile for there cutomers! i will only go jabba mainly and my 3 mates garages for little jobs! Have you had much work by jabba simon? Paul
-
cheers bro :) yer is nice to see the good figers coming throgh! yer kev has been working solid on i for a few days, just little problems on the way, like injectors again, and the injector loom was crumbling away so that had to make one up...But now all sorted, few more tweeks with the mapping and should be ready to pick up friday! Erm i would have thought the rev limiter will be set around 6000, cant wait till its done! i'll wack up the charts and figers! Paul

Hay guys just giving an update on my G60 progression at jabba. Coz the power had to upgrade from the red top 315cc injectors to the green top 440cc injectors. we got 190 BHP at 200revs and the final stage of the remap will be completed tomoro we looking at 260 - 270 BHP at 1.5 Bar of boost, weres the power graph so far (note..red lines rep the the old map with 63mm pully numan cam. Blue line rep Piper cam and 50mm pully) Click on te power graph to make it bigger! Thanks for looking Paul
-
hay guys, just seeing if anyone has adapted and fitted an uprated igntion coil on there G60's Paul
-
i bought my charger october so i dont know what the score is with the production! so i dont know about that 1!
-
yer im running flowed head, 1.9 etc.. got the engine shop to do everything they could with my engine, its goin in for a remap and more on monday so chances are that the BHP will be turned up and the boost reading turned down as all the boost is being used more quickly, but we will see with the readout on monday! i will let u know! BBM is the way bro, sounds awsome! but yer the warrentee is valid with the smaller pully, but there tuff chargers! i will never go g ladder again, the amount of problems i got! The BBM charger is a peace of piss to fit (easyer that the gladder) so i wouldnt worry about that, if u have had a lot of work on your car, run a BBM charger for a few months then change the pully if u wish! :) Paul
-
im goin in for work on the 12th at jabba and getting them to port out my throttle body a bit while its there, did u notice anything much by doin this work? im thinking it will for my G60 as im running 22psi of boost will be good to know ya thoughts on the final result with the work u carryed out? thanks paul
-
love the motor mate! like the power! ;) its that around 305ish then? i see u got the same intercooler as me the Jabba Kit! looks well tidy! well all the best pal! Paul
