Ok to give you an idea..... I've just had a set of D90's highly mirror polished, which cost £200 I've not had any powder coated but soon as i've got more prices, I'll post them up :thumb right:
-
Would need to see a picture of the rim.... aslong as its not that bad, then shouldn't be a problem.
-
I'll pm you matey ;) tbh Darren, he's doing all the work on the side.... So you'd have to go through me and I'd have to drop them to him. I've got 2 sets in there at the moment, that I'm having done for friends. I'll try and get some pics up when done :)

Ok guys.... this is just a feeler I've got a set of Corrado 15" Speedline alloys which I'm putting in to be mirror polished... I'm probably going to create a FORSALE thread once done... I may decide to do this or not.... Or possibly create a sale thread just for the wheels as they are. Would anybody be interested in them polished???

Alright matey..... I did toy with this idea of getting rid of the fogs and ints...... but relocating them isn't as easy as it sounds!!! Redrilling the headlights is a possibility but you have to be careful in getting them correct, and making them waterproof to stop condensation...... Relocatig them elsewhere can possibly make it look alittle tacky and spoil the OEM'ish look.... But thats my 2pence worth ;)

lol.... My hands had been in water for ages, so went all crincled  To detail the whole car, depending on condition.... it can take awhole day!!! Also the size of the car too. Tis hard work, but well worth it in the end ;)

Seen as the weather held out.... thought I'd attack the cabby, seen as there's lots of swirls and merring in the paint... Was planning on doing the whole car, but decided just to do the bonnett seen as I knew it was gonna be a tough one ;) As you can see.... the paint was really bad, so many swirls the paint had gone completely dull Firstly Washed the bonnet with Megs NXT, as always using 2 bucket method then clayed the paint work to see what I was left with... Results... Not as bad, but still very swirled and murred.... So out came the PC..... Started firstly with SFX-2 Pad with Menz I.P. The results were ok but it was still evident that more cut was needed. Stepped up to more abrasive, SFX-1 Pad with Menz P.G  The results were alot better, just that little more extra umpf, especially being Old VAG paint...... I then finished off with Menz FF to gve that depth and glaze.... I'd had enough by now.... the bonnet had taken best part of the day!!!! I'll finish off with a Some Mgs NXT Tech wax tomorrow... Might I just add that this is the second time I've actually attempted detailing and still learning.... But I'm very happy with the results :)

After trecking all over the west midlands this week...... I've hooked up with an old friend, who does mirror polishing for a living!!! Now the services that are available are Mirror polishing wheels, refurbishment, Powder coating and even alloy wheel repairs including alloy welding for serious kerb damage..... although buckled wheels are give and take!!!! The work is absolutely excellent.... and those of you wanting the bling, then look no further :) Any thing that you may want polishing... drop me a post or pm and i'm sure you'll be satisfied with the prices... Cheers 8)

Which is faster; Rado VR6 v Honda Civic Type R..?
mtc R32 replied to DUBST4R's topic in General Car Chat
Believe it or not... There's a guy near me that's got an E36 M3 and for some reason we always seem to meet when I was out in the car.... Never really spoken to the guy but always used to race each other through the carraige ways.... He could never loose me and at times I used to have the edge.... I must admit though for some strange reason my Corrado VR was very quick for standard!!! Mileage was high and engine rev'd very freely..... -

Beware... Those CTR's are fast!!! They are slightly flat down the bottom end but fook me once over 4k they rev all the way to the limiter at IIRC 9k  If your going to race... try and get him on a motorway where your both over 70ish... Then ask him who's the daddy  -
 No the Micra belongs to the Wife..... She had a pink smart car before that, but wasn't happy enough with it so, I recently purchased one of these pink Micra C+C's, which is a cracking car tbh.... I'm happy with the rivage for the moment and now my 2-wheels.... Still trying to decide on a set of rims for the cabby
-
I've decided to venture onto 2-wheels..... Did my CBT, and started looking for a bike to get some practise on untill I'm confident enough to do my Main bike test.. Anyways... here's what I found!!! Its now in use taking me to work and back on a daily basis... Sure beats siting in traffic  8) 8)

Ohhh the pain.... Seeing my Corrado being driven away...... Looked the nutts though!!! 1st time I've seen someone else drive it, looked very fat!!!!!!!11 :) Was really Sad to see it go..... I even pulled out of the deal 2 days ago, but I just couldn't do it to the Kid as he was devestated..... So had no choice..... On the Plus side it has gone to a good home, and I know he'll take good care of it... Oh well.. all good things must come to an end... and all that  I'll be sticking around on here though... just incase I find a Bargain  oh and to keep in touch with all you guys :)

What Pads are you using too.... Sorry Rob! To mind boggle you
-
Yeh was a good price..... Just need to stock up on the menzerna range now, as most of the cars I have are VAG or BMW.... Plus all the people I know have german cars... so the paint is gonna be tough..... The starter pack does look very good though at that price.... May just order some today and see how it goes.... What clays do you reconmend... Up untill now i've used the one that came with the megs QD kit.... Just need to buy them individually now...
-
Did you buy the Silverline Rotary... I did get a good deal on all my stuff... Paid around £260.00 which included all polishes and pads mentioned before and the PC with transformer and amassive long extension cable too... Do you think the rotary is a better option or buy ???
-
The 3.01 IP... isn't that Menzerna??? There is a supplier on DTWORLD who is doing a deal on the 3 for £40.00 which is a bargain.... Your a brave man jumping onto a Rotary 1st.....
-
tbh Rob.... the Meg#83 just doesn't do the job on the vag paint..... Don't get me wrong it is good stuff, but using it with the sfx-1 it was making very little progress even after 15 passes.... Where did you get the ff and IP from? and what was the costs....
-
Rob.... Nice one matey :) I purchased a PC recently with SFX 1-2-3 pads.. Orange Sonus and Megs Super soft Poishing pad and finishing pad... Also Meg#80 and #83 including the sfx1-2-3 polishes too.... Starting on my Mk4 Golf, Indigo Blue which is aso swirlled all over  Using the sfx-1 pad and meg#83 it was not even touching the swirls.. (Sh*t this VAG paint is tough).... What would you reconmend I use and where to get it from????
-
Sam... I'm loving those front seats!!!! Does look abit weird the back seats being there too.... Looks abit complicated!!! But if needs must then still looks good....
-
tbh Rob..... I really will be sad when the owner does collect it... But i suppose all good things come to an end :? The New owner is a young chap, off here too... He's promised me he'll look after it.... So time will tell!!!! I'm already having itchy feet..... But I must resist

Well it was a very sad day today.... Took a deposit on the C :( Still hasn't hit home really, seen as the cars still on the drive :) Its just all happened so quickly.... Guy came today, Him and His mate loved it!! Took them for a spin, which had them smiling from ear to ear  Seen as I'd washed and polished it... I decided to take it for a final photo shoot 8) .: THE END :.
