Ahh a fellow C owner from Birmingham.... Where do you go for all your mechanical issues??? Trying to locate someone who knows what they're doing.. I've got a Crankshaft oil seal that needs attention. Any suggestions.

Starting to get to know my G60 more and more each day :D What i want to know is the differences between the Cahrgers... When i purchased my C the guy told me i was R1 spec charger !!! Reading though different threads i hear other terminologies like Jabba stage 3/4.. :? Can anyone give me an explanation??? Is an R1 spec charger one of the best :?

Riley.... I've got some VDO gauges for Oil temp and Boost pressure, so i've been living without a stereo ;( How did you fit your stereo into that lower compartment???? I wanna try and do the same thing.. Have you got a how to Cheers Marcus

Reading through the threads i read about IGNITION SWITCH problems!!! I undone that awkward bronze screw and out come the ignition switch.. Now it looks like im about to hot wire the car!!!! Turnig the little white box with a screwdriver the ignition turns on and starts the car fine :? :? :? If the switch was knackered.. then why does it start when its out the barell.... Help

It appears to be reaching right at the bottom of the airbox and but all between that side of the engine and around the cam cover etc... I pretty much sure its the crankshaft seal, but as far as i can gather theres 2? one very difficult to do??? I just need to know which one... and how to do it.. cheers though Andy

Reading through the Forum I'm pretty sure its the CRANKSHAFT seal... From what i can gather there appears to be 2? I can only describe that there seems to be alot of oil splashed over the bottom of the Airbox. Some near the charger and loads all over the bottom of the drivers side wishbone and trackrod etc... Which one is it most likely to be? and is this an easy job or one for a skilled mechanic??

Another problem i'm trying address is the Ignition Barrell... For some reason, with the cowling off around the barrell... before starting it you have to place your fingers on the plug at the back of the barrell, and pull it towards you, while turning the key on and off to get it to find the connection and start. (Really annoying)... Now the previous owner said he replaced the ignition barrell, but said the poblem is an easy fix just a srew that needs tightening from underneath ??? Well i've looked all over for this loose screw and can't see what he was on about !!! Said he didn't get round to it as has a bad back and can't get down that far :? So thought 'd pick everyones brains on hear.... Cheers Marus

Ok guys... Started going over My new C today.. For some reason trying to clean up the g60 bbs wheels seem to be some what difficult!!! It wasn't just masses of break dust but i noticed the drivers side was very oily too ???? Had a look underneath and there bust be some sort of oil leak as the bottom of the car is caked in splashed oil??? Theres no oil leaking when stood, nor can i see any that seems to leaking from the sump... I've spoken to the previous owner who seem to think its the Crank seal??? Is this an easy Job on a G60? and where do i start? I do tinkle a little so i'm hoping to do this myslef... Your thoughts and opinions fellow dubbers

I recently purchased a Corrado that does need spraying at the front end, stone chips and stuff..... The garage told me that most of the expense for the garage is the prep work as it takes alot of time... Might have a go at preppin myself to cut the costs.... Now where do i start and what materials ????

Clutch replaced along with slave only 12mths ago. (Standard Clutch) For some reason going into 2nd quickly can catch you out with a Hard Crunch ???? Every other gear is fine. Car - 1991 G60..... Do these suffer with the same dreaded Mk2 synchro problem??? But for some reason this doesn't feel like what i've experienced with a mk2 before... Any help please. ????

One thing it does do is quiten down the engine. I had a ever so slightly tappety vr6.... Cured it!!!

Nice to see you come on here and identify yourself... Helps clear things up! You can't deny peoples opinions, Unfortunately there are alot of people out there trying to get rid of nails as they've stung with rubbish and only want to pass it on... Shame really!!! Also when a car passes through 2 hands in the space of 1yr of course its not a clear cut a an owner, who's had it for past couple of years, spent a fortune on it but now needs to sell for something more practical..... I'm sure it will all go well in the end

I owned a 03-plate 330ci for a while... It was ok, felt very impressive in it but It was thirsty, the clutch was very heavy and it was more of a cruiser than anything really... I didn't like driving it around town but was excellent on the motorway... I wouldn't own another unless it was a M3.... It makes up for all the litle errors of the car... That i'd live with untill its time for a service £1000+. owch!!!!

Anyone on here got access to HPI... Need to run a reg through to see if its been damaged. Looks a bit to new at the rear for my liking. He rekons its not ???? J558 KBD cheers guys
