Hi everyone. Havn't been on here for four years since i owned my last G60 rado. Anyway after a few civics and my last 2l 16v MK2 golf i've managed to get my hands on a vr6 corrado. I viewed several C's and none of them compared to this, the first one i viewed. Its on 101k with full service history and is immaculate inside and out, especially the electric recaros. Its totally standard even down to the cassette player! Anyway here are a few pictures; Plans are to go oem+. First stop is a service to make me happy then KW V1 coilovers and thinking of getting the speedlines resprayed in a deep gunmetal.

Loving the car, speedlines look great! might look into getting mine re-furbed instead of changing them. Im a big fan of the orange indicators on the last page, front end looks too plain oem.

Hi guys, took ownership of my 1995 vr6 yesterday and it needs lowering a tad to avoid confusion with local farming equipment. It may sound odd but im after comfort over handling but at a reduced ride height. The best of both worlds would be great but im not willing to sacrifice all comforts for better cornering. Having spent much time and money setting up my mk2 golf to handle like a go kart it never actually found its self on a track and i ended up being a spine shattering daily driver.. With the vr the most important things for me are looks and comfort and an improvement in the handling would be a nice bonus. With that in mind what suspension setup would be best, matching springs and dampers, coilovers? Dont have a large budget so looking for an affordable option.. Any ideas what would fit the criteria?

How does the ride comfort compare to standard on the kw 1's? Looking for a set to lower the car on speedlines like above but don't want to sacrifice much ride comfort.

Need to order a new bottom end kit before the weekend for my 9a rebuild but having trouble sourcing the parts. Can somebody tell me if the following parts are the same for kr and 9a; -Big end bearings -small end bearings -thrust washers -crank seals and covers (fly and pulley ends) Basically all the bearings and bits i need to put the 9a back together. Can get them next day for kr but finding it really hard to source the 9a parts undecided

Hi there, i recently bought my G60 and i love it, very clean car and lovely to drive. One thing i noticed was that it seems to eat fuel, according to the mfa its doing 20mpg cruising in 5th, i cant get it any higher than this even on long motorway journeys. Is this normal?!, (engine has had a fair amount of work done, mods listed in my sig).

I know exactly how you feel, my honda civic coupe was written off the other week by a gang of socially challenged members of the underclass. Stamped on the bonnet, roof, kicked in the sides and wrote it off!!!!! Got my carrado with the insurance money tho

do you know how it compares to the 1.8 16v? also how would a 1.8 16valve head with 9a passat block and box compare to the 2.0 16v?

im having trouble deciding which engine to go for, valver, g60 or 2.0 16v as im getting a lot of contasting facts. i drove a valver today and it wasnt as quick as id expected. which is the most driveable, with potential for good power out of the 3?

anyone know the definitive figures for these cars, of course it will vary from car to car with loads of variables but do the figures i copied from parkers seem right?

Parkers car chooser book gives the following stats; .............0-60....... bhp.....mph..... mpg 1.8 16v.....8....... 136.... 131..... 34.7 G60 cat.....8.7.... 160.... 135 .... 33.1 2.0 16v.....9.3.... 136.... 131 .... 32.6 2.0 8v......10.6.. 115.... 124 ..... 35.5 vr6...........6.7.... 190..... 146 ..... 28.3 Im looking at buying a corrado at the mo, was going for a valver over the g60 because it,s quicker to 60 with a similar top speed. Do the 0-60 times really reflect the performance of these engines?
