Hopefully I'll get the engine tuned/ supercharged? repair the hole in the rear bumper ( wherethe tow bar was ). other then that, dunno yet depends on money. :|
-
Well I thought I would post some pics of my Corrado.
-
Well on satureday I set about removing the rear bumper from the car. it was an easy job to do. I thought I would mention that once you have removed the four 17mm bolts from underneath the car there may be two more 17mm bolts located in the BOOT, 1 in each corner towards the rear lights under the trim. I will post pics of the two extra bolts when I get time. On a good note now I have removed the tow bar (and left a nice square hole in my bumper) the car feels lighter and smother when driving.
-
Ok so hopefuly all I need to do is remove the bumper and/if remove the any bolts holding the tow bar on. right where are the bolts located for the rear bumper? If it's easy then I'll do it one evening. Thanks For all your help so far. Vaughn

Well the tow bar comes though the rear bumper, a nice square chunk has been cut out of it. Spoiles the rear end of the car.

Just a few thoughts before I go to remove it!! cos knowing my luck I'll get the bumper off and find its been welded to the car !!! And just out of couristy am I the ony person to have this problem with a corrado? Thanks Vaughn

Yer had to give my fuel pump an overhaul a few months back new > accumulater + the two pipes + filter + pump seals, I must admit I wasn't expecting to pay £60 for the two pipes... Ouch  ( of coarse at the time when I got them my reply was HOW MUCH !!!!) But since then no smell and seems to run better. :thumbleft: So I agree with DiTcH Defintley check the pump out.

well looks like the above was to good to last Well After replacing the fuel pipes, accumulator, non retun valve, Ignition switch, Dizzy Cap & rotor Arm(bought from unipart). she is starting better but is still 50% of the time not starting -- turn key-- engine kick over- nothing have to continue to kick the starter motor over while pumping the throttle and then she will start, lumpy at first but then runs and idles fine. ANy ideas what else it could be ? -
Morning People. Well about a week ago I got into my C and found the rear Passanger floor was a swimming pool. ( Car was parked level ) so I immedeatly got onto the forum and searched for this problem. Yay it come up with things to check e.g sunroof drian holes, door membrane, scuttle panel. Yesterday I checked the sunroof drain holes, there not blocked. Then I put new membrane in the doors and also ducked tape the edges just to make sure. Finally I cleaned out the scuttle panel and made sure it was clear. This morning when I got in, I checked the car and its still leaking. (There are no signs on the side of the carpets or roof lining that its leaking.) So Is there any where else it could be leaking from and/or have I missed something ? Thanks Vaughn

Well I went to Change the non-return valve to day, Oh what joy. Simple job As I went to remove the bolt that Holds the fuel pipe from the accumlator onto the non-return valve the fuel pipe would not let go of the bolt and decided to snap. At this point many many words of wisdom was spoken. LOL So is the pipe that I broke a VAG only part or can I get it from another supplier? The really bad thing is that I Have also found to day that number 1 injector seems to be wet but does not smell of fuel so it could be the problem with my starting!! I'll find out when it get the new pipe and put it all back together I suppose. Thanks Twiss -

Well I just phoned VAG and they want £20 inc vat for the non-return valve is this right? Is replaceing the non-return valve easy ? I also thought I would change the fuel filter as i dont know when it was last done. Do I need any thing else when replacing the fuel filter? Thanks for your help so far.
