Aqua blues does your car's bonnet and roof look a different colour when you stand above it? mine always does because obvoiusly the bonnet and roof are at different angles to the rest of the body but look darker? :shrug: :shrug:

the stupid car wont start now, battery and petrol is ok. I've had the dizzy off to have a look at it but have put it back. leads are all ok, really at my ends with this car :censored: :censored: :help:

try irwin easy outs, I had the same problem with caliper carriers. they worked a treat

looking at a beetle front disk from machine7.co.uk. thats 5x130.. I understand that the disk is 278x10 and a rado rear is 226x100 Does anybody know what I need to do to fit a larger disk? I imagine its the same idea as the g60 280 setup? cheers Ryan

I think the timing is out, but I noticed there is fuel coming from the pump which I fitted last year :mad2: so that needs sorting might just need tightning

Slacken off the 2 bolts that lock the dizy in place and turn anti clockwise to advance and clockwise to retard the ignition timing. Mark it before you start and advance it small amounts at a time. If you can get it over to Bristol I'm happy to take a look and can put vag com on it, but I'm only around weekday evenings. i'll need to get it legal first :wink: has no mot or tax

I got adapters 4x100 to 5x130 I had 15mm turned down off them to help but they still stick way out the arches. I was trying, only for the rears, to have no adapters and a porka hub or something, Doesnt seem like many people have done it so info is not ready availiable :? Somebody thought bug front disks might be good but the centre bore is way bigger on a beetle

I cant remember. I think I drove it thought a puddle, which turned out to be bigger than first thought. it got cleaned out then I think, but I remember braking down after that again and got it towed to a garage who changed the dizzy. How do you sort out the ignition timing? cheers for help, your not far from me maybe you can have a look.. :D

Hi quicky mate. Im looking to do something similar to get some wheels fitted, If I done the VR setup on the rear could I get the hubs redrilled to porka pattern? this seems like I option for me

sorry for bringing up an old thread. but I still got this car and its still got the same problem drove it bout 15 miles yesterday to a new garage, same problems its got all new leads, dizzy fuel pumps. So Im thinking its more like what steve16v was saying... HAs anybody else had similar problems?

Can vr hubs be drilled to porsche pattern? also will vr disks go on my valver? cheers Ryan

struggling with my wheels still. Is there a larger hub for the rear that can be drilled to a porsche pattern? is the VR disk bug enough?
