  1. yessss. Lets always remember that this is the F1 world championship. Easy to say but it just means the world top drivers in the best cars in the world fighting to be the number one. This is no easy game or no child game. fight has to be feroceous and winner is only one. this does not have to be a gentelmans game or a friendly game. i think that the limits are set too low and competition is just too little.
  2. keeping the fire alive. A conversation between hamilton and Dennis has transcended here (Spain) in the news. It goes something like, (Translated back from the translation) RON: Dont you Fu... do that again to me. (after disobeying team orders) Ham: Dont you Fu... talk to me like that again. and the outcome is that Alonso gets punished.
  3. How come no one has brought up the fact that Hamilton disobeyed Team orders a few times when he was ordered to let Alosno passed during qualifying as it was its turn tu do te final lap as agreed before qualification started. when he positioned himself before Alenos he was told over the radio to let Alonso pass and did not listen to it. Then when Alosno stayed longer in the pits he was following team instructions, to have the chance previously agreed. He was follwing team instructions. then he gets pusnished. Alson there is no written article in the norms that states how long you can you stay in the pits. moreover from hamilstons response it is understood that it is a normal happening staying a liitle longer during qualifications to avoid traffic in the fast lap. The only difference is that he was waitting. So should Alnso had pulled out disobeying team orders just to let Hamilton take another lap when he agreed not to in advance? this is how the story is told over here in Spain.
  4. that is part of what i am trying to find out. we know very little of the history but there was a lot of quality work done to it. if anyone knows something about it please please plase share it. thanks
  5. Hi there again. One of our dear members of the Corrado Forum in Spain has striked a good one. He has boght a left hand drive English corrado in Spain which is seems very well tuned, (style apart.) Here are some pics of the car and the brute engine. http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/2278/p7050106la2.jpg This car is said to be sporting a 3.1 big bore schricked everything and and a very courious buttom activated clutch all done by a very reputable London Tuner. I was wondering if the car or the owner is known around here and you guys have some more info about this car and the work done to it. thanks a lot for the info in advance
  6. I am a bit of a coward too. I have never hit the limiter with many 8K runs and the addition of a techtonics chip on my old car. :?
  7. from my experience the problem i had with warping was due two reasons and none of them were the calipers itself. One was when milling down the discs i think they were not properly cooled during the milling and the other is quality itself from the manufacturer. They look good but not perform as good. As i learned later they are used by body filler tuners. The brakes are so awsome that even when i abused them to the max (heat produced rubbing due to very tight clearences, my fault) they continued braking hard. (good fluid) do not go cheap on brakes but is not necessary to spend a ton to get quality for the fast road user.
  8. the set up i had in my 16v was perfect for the car, or for me on that car. :? I sourced some brembo 4 pot calipers from a porsche 944. milled down G60 discs to 270mm and space the caliper about 4mm to center on the disc. Brakes awsome, no fade even when heating the discs som much they warped and great feel. besides very light calipers and light discs which all fit under 15 inch wheels (with spacers).I spent less than 500 auros total incluiding pads discs and steel lines more info here http://clubcorrado.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=4733
  9. Thanks for the info. looks like he is the man to talk to. Only problem is distance, otherwise my car would be there for remapping and general adjustement. I might try to give him a call. I have to take a decision on what route to go for now that my engine is all over a table so i dont regret it later. Thanks again
  10. Hi all again. Here i go with one more time with maybe a difficult question. I got a hold off a Stage 3 VFE supercharger kit (Stage 2+ Intercooling). The kit is off a 94 golf ( 2.8 with AF ECU). and my car is a 94 Corrado with an AG ECU. The kit comes with every single bit necessary, even the ECU and the MAF sensor. The question is what needs to be changed to make that AF ECU work with my AF engine. I will also need to get a new chip burned also because i am runing a VGI with 268 cams (Golf was stock), so i have the option of making this for the AF or the AG ecus. On the other hand I have seen completly diferent reviews on how the schrick and 268
  11. The cloud you saw was probably the same one we took with us. Next time you come to Spain, and want to see a bunch of Corrados, "Follow that cloud"
  12. Hello. We have recently installed a few modifications on my friend
  13. sorry to bring this topic back to life, does anyone know where to pick up the rev counter input signal from? (we are doing theinstallation on a coil packed and a ditribuitor engines)
  14. As the topic goes, would anybody be so kind to post a picture or explain how to connect the vacumm lines that goes from the schrick manifold and specially where do they go from the vacumm reservoir to ...? ??? thanks a lot in advance for the help. Greetings from Spain
  15. Hi all. I have a 94 vr6 with a 021 906 258 AG ECU. i am going to install a schrick VGI with 268º cams and 2.5 inch exhaust. The thing is that i live in spain and here there is no much experience with these cars even more with these items, so i would like to get a chip remaped for these parts. I know the good way to do this is to get a RR remap, but here i would not know who can do it well. So the idea is to get at least a chip with a map for this parts so it will at least be better than stock. First i am not sure if the ECU has a soldered chip or it can be changed easely and second if it ispossible to get a chip mapped to be directly plugged in? Thanks a lot for the help.

    ford recaros

i did that on my old valver. the actual seat is much higher than corrado recaros. you will need to cut the longer sheetmetal from the base of the recaro.. then you will need a recaro frame. if you find a frame from a corrado, great, other wise you can use a seat frame from a golf although it will still seat a tad higher than oem. It bolts straight up with 6 allen bolts. On the other hand, having this and regular corrado leather recaros, the fords are way more supportive going into turns. merry christmas.
