  1. Got home lads. Left car sit for half hour and then tried again....vrrrummmm. Runs perfectly once she is going :-) Still no idea what the problem is. Only other thing I can add is that the ABS light is staying on (but then that has been happening on and off for 6 months) - anyone come across this before? Any advice welcome - disconnecting sensors around the fuel metering head doesn't help.
  2. HI lads, Got an urgent problem - am 130 miles form where i am supposed to be! problem is that i have fuel to the metering head but not to the injectors. It goes in but won't come out. Fuel goes to air flow meter (the one that has pipe back into the air box) and fuel pump working fine. This only happens intermittently - once it starts it seems to keep going, but then you stop it and it may or may not start again - Is there a particular place i should be looking for something electrical that cuts the fuel to the injectors....this is driving me mad! Trying to get car back home so bypass solution welcome! thanks
  3. Thanks lads - sounds like the right thing to do is get the existing standard ones fixed up and wait for a KR inlet cam to come for sale....would have been nice to get it all done at one go, but it's not worth the big bucks. What is involved in replacing it later on? I'm assuming the head doesn't need to come off again?
  4. Hi lads - good info there. I'm considering KR cams for my 2L 16v 9a. Head is currently getting rebuilt and the teeth on the standard cams are damaged. Considering I have to get a new chain & new sprockets for my cams anyway (I'm no mechanic so apologies for not knowing what it's called!), I thought I might upgrade. The block on my engine was bored out before and new oversized pistons (+.3 I believe) fitted, but I guess that makes no difference to the +15/20 bhp with the new cams. Question is, what else do i need to fit the cams, where should I get them and how much would they cost? Thanks
