  1. I had this done got the two VDO gauges and sender from around £120 for the lot, Volt meter and Oil Pressure. This is what is in the manual (keeping it to original spec). If I had to do it again I would like a boost guage. You can get digital ones that have dual functions. Really sweet but like 350$. A lot of money. My mechanic fitted it and a new arial for 30 quid http://www.germancarcompany.co.uk/ HTH
  2. If anyone is in the east midlands his name is Martin and his number is 01332 799811. We done a mini group buy and he came to our office to do it and was very cheap  . HTH
  3. It's would be very hard to describe how they do it but here goes. But basically he works the dents from behind with long mental poles which in my case he put between the window and the door skin using a card lines it all up . The guy who done mine was great if you can spot where they used to be on my car I'll eat my hat  He had a problem with one on the crease but it is a lot better than before. I would never recommend something without knowing they where any good. He done five of us at work and everyone was well impressed and the cost is nothing compared to taking it to a body shop. I can only vouch for the one in Derby never used any others HTH

    MPG ?

I think my ECU is screwed as I have never seen over 22mpg. Even tried resetting the trip on the m\way and still came back with 22 had 2mpg in town once :D Everything else works fine. Can you adjust it in anyway?
  5. One more pic of the "beast" http://www.stroevemotorsport.nl/galery/ ... lery09.htm
  6. Who's that with? My worst quote was 5 grand off Hill house Hammond. Direct line told me you need to be thirty to get insurance on a G60 hmmm you think they would just say no. Mines is up this month and best quote so far is Admiral 700 pounds Adrian Flux wanted 1200 this year. HIC was no comment but I made a claim thru them the first year I had my C. Still waiting for my renewal from barclaycard (two years with them now). They also gurantee to beat any renewal all be it by a pound and no TP on any car but the excess has been good hence why I have used them the last two years. We guarantee* to beat the renewal premium quoted to you by your current insurer. So the moment you receive your renewal notice, just pick up the phone and call us. Whatever the renewal price, Barclaycard Motor Insurance will beat it - guaranteed http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/Motoring/Motor_Insurance/
  7. Note from my mate with his VR in Edinburgh cheers i have heard good reports about them, my dads neighbour swears by them, he's got a golf, passat and a vw van!!! Thanks

  10. Hi Jamie did you get this sorted? I have a friend in Edinburgh who is looking for a good garage which isn't a to far away which livingston is ok I guess. To be honest they are like gold dust to find (good mechanics) Cheers A
  11. If you have a look on the Scottish Corrado Club web site Kev (16v) done some insturctions on how to drill out the box etc goto downloads and at the bottom is the link to them http://www.kf010a4571.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ Cheers
  12. Did you speak to Jabba sport about this? Where they helpful? I may have to get a rebuild soon and was thinking about getting a stage 4. But as I'm north of the border I have to know it is going to work first time. I.e. not have to go back because of things like the above. Would cost me a fortune in petrol not to mention the mileage. Assume you have a few more mods than just the charger. laters
  13. That’s strange Diretline told me they wouldn't insure anyone under 30 on a g60. Don't you just hate insurance companies they can't even get there stories straight
  14. Yeah Joe thats the one. Where abouts are you in glasgow? Jamie the first time I had to use them I couldn't drive the car and he toed it for me. The thing was to toe my car was going to cost more that the repairs cost just to get it to a VW stealership. As it turns out I got it fixed for less :D
  15. Hi Jamie, I use Donoldson motor company they are located off the express way in Glasgow just after the SECC (Very easy to get to by car) you may need a lift back into town. The guys name is Tam very honest and has saved me a few big bills in the past. He is a VW\Audi specialist and has a fwe mechanics work for him. Has a few C's on his books as well. Mines a G60 but I'm sure they will know there way around a VR6. So I would recommend him does all the work on my car except for servicing (trying very hard to keep service history for what it is worth). Not that far from livingston but not to close either. Here is the number give him a call 01413390077 and have a chat with him. Hope this helps
  16. Opps just read the bit about chipsaway doh
  17. Hi Jim, Sorry to hear about your scratch. Have you thought about contacting one of those mobile guy's who touch up cars for dealer’s i.e. stone chips and scratches. I had the above out to my car and he took out five dents (I think it was five maybe seven) took him half and hour and charged me twenty five quid. The reason I say this for yours is he said he also does scratches, alloy (refurb repairs) windscreens etc....etc. Jack of all trades master of none I hear you say but he done a spot on Job with my car and five other people at work. One of the guys is getting some scratches removed for his Audi. Will let you know how it goes if you are interested. So if the above happened to myself I would ask him for a price to do the touch up as 90 nicker sounds a bit steep for a scratch. What are they doing for the above? The above is based in Derby which is not a million miles away from Coventry but would no doubt add to the cost of getting the repair done in terms of time and fuel. Just a suggestion although I can't vouch for anybody in your area. Maybe someone else would know somebody? :?: Laters
  18. 91 J Standard (insurance would kill me) Would like more power but it's still a great drive as is Have added Centre Console with Oil Pressure and Volt meter Awaiting Samco hoses for cooling and charger :)
  19. Thanks guy's I think I'll leave it till the thing falls off
  20. Rob was the cat bypass worth it?I have 91 G60 standard but any mods declared would kill me on the insurance but I think I could get away with that. How much did it cost you? Amd what did it give you in terms of performace. I asked the above to the group and it seems that you gain nothing from doing this. Cheers Antonio Member
