  1. Yea its a blatant tt copy but is that really such a bad thing? infact probably yea because you just know build quality is going to be under par and chances are it will feel numb like every other peugeot "sports" car :( Id personally hold out for the vw, thats a win win situation :D
  2. That makes me feel a bit better then lol I won't drive it until taking it to the garage on saturday or try and borrow my neighbours trailer would be ideal. Was going to take it out tonight for a photoshoot with Dr Forinor's storm but thats not going to happen now, was looking forward to it as well but don't want to take any chances with it now, still no reply back from BBT either.....funny that
  3. Oil hasn't been changed yet bud, its really really clean as well, like it has just recently been done..... Hmmm either way it sounds like it could be a bit of an expensive job :(
  4. But if Ferrari get there 3rd car who's to say they won't offer the seat to fisi if his 5 races are a great success? :)
  5. that really is a cracking vid, a corrado vid like that would be awesome, would be interesting to see how many cars turned up for it, could be a big event to arrange? 8)
  6. Will take a note of that number for future reference, Anyway I took it for a drive a couple of nights ago, just a slow trip into town, normal driving speeds not a peep out of it, hard acceleration again not a peep but was warmed up before doing that, then on the trip home on acceleration that little rattle appeared again, only when u got above sorta 2.5/3k on the revs did u start to hear it and it wasn't in every gear, car still pulls fine but then just heading up the road going home the oil pressure/low oil light came on again but after checking the oil it was ok again :confused4: its booked in for saturday so i'm gonna see what happens, so badly want to drive it :( if its anything major i had contemplated taking the charger of the green one, fitting it to the red one and taxxing it, re-insuring the red one and driving that about until I had sorted out some funds to fix the green one  Have e-mailed big boys toys to see if there is any sort of mileage warranty, and going on the comments in this thread they are not the best for building engines I'm guessing? Thanks for the help and info guys, much appreciated! :)
  7. Will give my cousins garage a ring on monday to get it booked in, only want to trust him with it at the moment to be fair. Feel a bit easier about things so hopefully it is just a simple problem, will take a note of that problem about the conrod bolt, thanks for that bud. I have thought the oil pump as well, just didn't really want to take any chances driving it home and potentially do major damage, it cost 800 cos thats how much it took for 2 private contractors to get the car home, only just took my rac policy out on the day so they wouldn't give me the full cover to get me anywhere in the uk on that day. Thw F-150 sounded awesome though I have to admit, same engine thats in the GT40 which done an amazing *wait for it* - 9 MILES TO THE GALLON   And he said "12" if your careful  But not as angry as I was cos he really was a cool guy so I didn't doubt him all that much, turns out I shoulda just spent a whole lot of less money by getting a charger for the red one but hey, what can ya do  The marriage hasn't gone too plan as of yet....will see what happens on monday, thanks for the info guys, its much appreciated!!!! :D
  8. Well lets see, Went down to Guildford, long treck btw from Scotland which infact took just over 9 hours to get there after all the traffic and then another 45 minutes to get to the hotel, was due to pick up this corrado - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=83058 Which I did pick up, no problems at all, good test drive, felt nice and tight, Got out onto the motorway ready for my journey home, happy as a pig amongst s**t then under acceleration about 2 hours into my trip I start hearing a nasty little rattle coming from what I thought was the top of the engine, oil light came on with a buzzer so my instant action was pull over and get onto the hard shoulder, checked the oil, all good so rac come out, he suggested that it may have been a faulty oil pressure switch but because it was rattling he wouldn't advise driving it, the engine had been off for a good 45 minutes before they arrived and when started up it sounded ok, no rattles nothing, no light coming on, was followed off the motorway to a service station and he checked it over again, no light came on, no rattle etc so I thought maybe all is ok, checked the oil again and it was fine. Got back out onto the motorway and got as far as Birmingham then the rattle was getting louder and louder under acceleration, no oil light came on at all though but the rattle was just getting worse so I didn't want to continue any further, now it cost me £800 quid to get the f**king thing home :censored: :censored: :censored: What I want to know is, what are the chances of this being an instant problem or would it have been an on-going problem? Bare in mind that engine has only covered almost 28k from big boys toys, the receipt has the engine fitted in 2005 in september. What I don't get is that all of a sudden the problem crops up instantly when there wasn't an actual problem during the test drive, absolutely frustrated as hell right now as you can probably understand, thinking spend a bit more money to be ok and well that happens :censored: :censored: :censored: Did get taken back to scotland from penrith in an F150 Lightning though, which was a bit of an occasion but everytime I looked to the back and seen the car on the trailer, couldn't help but feel a bit sick...... :( Proper f**ked off :mad2: :bad-words:
  9. Was so chuffed to see Force India do so well, really shows how far they have moved forward with the development of the car, Monza next and again another low downforce circuit so that should suit there car, would be great to see them get another strong result. I think Button realises now he really has got to get back to being competitive and as Ross Brawn said in his interview "He has to get used to the pressure" meaning he obviously hasn't been dealing with it too well, but to be fair he's never been at the top like this before so its all new to him but he really does need to get the head down and get on with it. Barichello really wants to beat him and I think if he keeps performing the way he is he will be Jenson's closest enemy if he doesn't perform, plus Webber & Vettell ain't far behind either so he's gotta screw the nut :)
  10. Aye always loved dundee law man :D was just lucky to get a good day lol In St. Marys, the red one still has a hole in teh supercharger, heading down to tilford to pick up a new dark pearl green one so will be out and about in that very shortly, how bout yourself man? have seen a few c's kicking around lately so chances are I've passed you on the mother goose mobile
  11. Looking good man, the 20v is an awesome engine right out the box, reliable and a perfect platform for tuning but you just can't beat the noise of a vr6 on song 8) And again the vr6 is pretty much bulletproof so either way both engines will be reliable :)
  12. I would put money on Toyota being out of F1 for 2010, the thing that I keep wondering about is the fact that there is going to be these 3 new teams but who is going to replace bmw and toyota? Will a buyer be found for bmw in time and/ or same with toyota. Personally I would have loved to have seen Aston Martin & Prodrive being accepted, its not like they aren't an upmarket brand. Id have went for them over Manor Racing to be fair, plus there is the regulations next year of no fuel stops which should make things interesting and although there is a lot of speculation about that I think it should spice up the racing. Alonso for Ferrrari is practically fact but the 3rd car that Ferrari want would that be for Schumacher? Would be pretty spectacular to see Alonso, Schuey and Massa all in the one team but I can't see it happening somehow *sob* Proper looking forward to the race today, really hope Fisichella can bring home a win for Force India, really breathes a new life into the team getting such impressive results especially after the poor points score, the developments to the car really have shined and kudos to the team for the effort! BRING ON SPA
  13. Have seen a few more lately kicking around the dundee area, spotted a gorgeous white g60 in tesco recently, standard wheels and lowered, looked fairly standard but never can tell what lurks beneath that bonnet 8)
  14. Hats off to you sir :D Cheers for that fella!
  15. I would love to see alonso in a ferrari, the fact that the rumour has just been so much stronger this season tells stories itself, even Mclaren expect him to go. The thing is though ferrari are pushing for a 3rd car next season is that for alonso so they can keep kimi and massa? Will save them having to buy Kimi's contract out as well or is the 3rd car possibly for a certain Mr. Schumacher, although he's not hinted to returning after the taste he had of it I'm sure he would jump at the chance once his injury has cleared up, who knows though. Really looking forward to Spa this weekend, its such an awesome circuit and eau rouge really is porn, would be a fantastic circuit to do a trackday at, especially with corrados. Big line of rado's all going through eau rouge :luvlove: A man can dream
  16. Not seen a corrado in that blue before actually, always thought a royal blue from the fordy's would look absolutely stunning and thats fairly close to it me thinks. Looks good mate :)
  17. Have been thinking about doing that as well, I really prefer the late interior dash to the early one, its not a hugely major factor just a personal preference :) So yea id be curious to know that too
  18. Its a ute not a pickup if its from aus land  That pickup does look cool though especially with the scirocco wheels :D
  19. Haha glad to see this thread got a great response :D its so true though it really is such a loveable car and there's been so many times when couriers have been picking things up to be delivered or just general deliverys they've commented on the car and a few asked if I would sell it, people just look at it with a completely different view and you don't get that boy racer evil glance that the majority of people used to give so many cars with loud exhausts on them. As previously mentioned it really is such a respected car. I always end up going the long way home  Just love the car to absolute bits
  20. Its quite simply down to a true love for the car. And I think experiencing ownership of a corrado is something that any performance car enthusiast should have the pleasure of. If I could take my corrado down the aisle, I'd damn well do that but I don't think the churches would allow it
  21. Explaining The Love For A Corrado.... You know the majority of people these days in these tough times economically and of course all the troubles going on in the world, one of those things that constantly is being thrown in our face is mpg figures, the higher the better, for some mpg is the new bhp and its something which I find particularly sad, the sheer lack of even the more upper class of car on the roads today has fallen, the deep floor rumbling sound of an impreza is no longer a common sound invading and pleasuring the ear but yet I was asked how do I describe my passion for what I do, how do you tell someone what you do actually feel, how do you describe that buzz you get, all those little things that come with having a passion and I answered the question with a direct relation to the corrado. For some a car is just a car, a means of transport, saving them from public transport, and its a luxury the majority of us enjoy but to others who have a real passion for performance cars the corrado is quite simply perfection, any corrado owner reading this right now will immediately relate to that, sure it has its little niggles now and then, we take the good with the bad which again a direct connection to the music industry, the bad times may very well be bad but its more than worth it for the good. The 1st time I seen a corrado was actually Dr. Forinor's and at the time I was fairly fresh off passing my driving test and owned a peugeot 106, which at the time was something of a gift from above, all of a sudden I had this freedom and this little machine which was nippy for a little 1.1 but putting that aside I had no idea what this machine was, I seen the vw badge but thats where the similarities stopped. Being young my idea of a performance car was a peugeot 106 gti which I had my sights set on and then one evening was given my very 1st experience of a corrado, the handling, that sheer roar from the vr6, the whole theatre, it felt like a rocket ship to me back then and before I knew it I was back in the car park, from that moment on I was hooked. I knew one day I wanted to own a corrado, the more I experienced it the more I craved it, the whole atmosphere of just the corrado itself whether it was standing still or on the move roaring its way around town It grew into a passion, a true love for the car...... The same with my music, I got my 1st experience of really producing in july 2005 and in the time I have been doing it, it has grown into such a passion that simply trying to explain someone is so hard because until they really do experience the highs and the lows, much like ownership of a corrado they never really do understand. Owning a corrado to me is something special, there is just something about this car that just completes life, its more than just a machine that will take you from a to b, time and time again this simply amazing piece of german engineering puts a smile on your face, the whole theatricle experience, the feeling of the car, how it makes you feel is priceless, a true, deep and heart felt passion for quite simply one of the best cars ever made and will forever hold its place amongst the greatest of the greats.......and quite simply remain a timeless classic. The End
  22. OMG thats absolutely bloody stunning
  23. Should still be able to get one I woulda thought. Not had a chance to do anything yet, been proper busy with music work but don't wanna leave it sitting too long tbh
  24. I've been looking into this as well as after i go for the power option definately going down the big brakes route. I had found this thread on vwvortex forums which is the rear calipers from a boxster fitted to a 4 x 100 setup. I know this was mentioned in this thread. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2866578 The seat cupra r brake setup I can't seem to find anywhere, i know you said you'd pay £450 for the lot but is this sourced from breakers or just buying the parts seperately etc?
