Pics would be great mate. Thanks.

To give you some idea mate, had mine fully serviced at C&R Enterprises at Nottingham when I first bought my C. Ended up with a bill for £260! Nothing major done to it either. Itemised bill showed I'd been charged £1.25 for emery paper and £2 to top up my screenwash, on top of the £50 an hour labour rate.

Would be interested in seeing some pics mate. Currently having to change my set-up after buying a boot carpet from JustMatz and finding out that my velcro strips on the bass box won't stick to whatever the mats made of. Anybody got rid of the spare wheel and used the extra space for ice stuff?

I was just wondering if anyone had removed the spare wheel and used it as extra space for an amp or CD Changer? At the moment my amp and changer are attached to the rear seats, with a Bass Box sat in the boot. The car is my daily driver and there isn't much room with all the stuff in at the moment, especially as I can't fold the rear seats down for extra space without ragging all the cables out of the amp. Thought about putting amp, changer in the corners of the boot, at the back of the rear clusters, but then how do I change a bulb in an emergency? I've built a false floor in the boot so no chance of damaging anything if I put it underneath. Can anybody help or done the job?

Update! Thanks for the address and contact number DanA. Been to a few garages/bodyshops and at the moment the options are either get them patched up or go the whole hog and get new ones. One bodyshop said only one side was really bad and to patch that side would be £250, but would also include sorting the bubbling wheelarch and colour matching the whole side. Taking out any dents and dings as well. Whereas the garage said they would put two new sills on, which would be £100. If I got the sills. But they couldn't colour match and they would end up being black. Been in touch with local VAG dealer and new outer sills for a Corrado are about £35 each. Which I was well chuffed by, after previous enquiries about body panels for Corrado's. So obviously now in a dilemma, as the wheel arches could do with some fettling at the same time. Decisions, Decisions.

Thanks everyone for the replies. At least I now have some idea of how much I should be paying. As ever it's finding a place that you can trust to do it right first time and that actually wants to do it! Alot of the local shops only want to deal with run-of-the-mill insurance work. Whereabouts in Hillsborough VR6Banana is Malin Motors? Is it just off of the carriageway that passes the football ground & dog track? May be worth a look. Cheers.

Need some advice and suggestions please. The sills on my 1991 G60 are buggered and either need replacing or patching up, anyone had the job done recently? Any idea of cost, although would prefer a quality job rather than a quick fix. Recomended garage/bodyshop in Yorkshire region with VW experience? Is the grey a difficult match to get right? Have a nasty idea that this is going to be expensive   Many thanks.

I've just bought a 1991 G60, which I think is covered? Is there many differences between the left hookers? Apart from the obvious? :?:

After reading one of the previous threads on the Bentley Manual can anyone answer a few questions? Are the copy CD-Roms from Ebay workable, or does it depend on your PC and software? Is the book worth the money to have something you can pick-up when needed? Also is the manual more of a technical garage guide, exploded diagrams, etc. Rather than a Haynes which is more of a 'how to' guide? Thanks for any information as I'm still a bit of a Corrado virgin. Cheers.

Thanks mate, sent an email as I had the same question of not being able to find the kit on your website. Also info on postage along with the PTFE? Look forward to your reply. Cheers. PS. I've heard that fitting the kit can lead to different results in terms of the noise, is this true Darren?

Hiya mate, emailed G-werks a few weeks since about this and still waiting. Hope you have more luck. Otherwise have a look on Ebay on the Corrado stuff as there's a bloke on there selling the kit for about £25.

Thanks mate. Their is an amp and box already in the boot to go with the huuuge speakers in the shelf. Do you still get a good level by just up-rating the speakers in the standard pods? Think the previous owner went a bit overkill.

The paint job and car looks great mate. Would you recomend the Bodyshop and where abouts in Huddersfield are they? Could do with a quote. Cheers

Anybody any suggestions or had similar problems? The previous owner of my G60 has put huge speakers in the rear parcel shelf, cut holes in it and then re-inforced the panel with a piece of wood. Unfortunately this has just moved the stress of the weight to the side panels that keep the parcel shelf from dropping into the boot, and these are now stressed, cracked and bent. I've tried to support the shelf by swapping the rubber straps, (which had stretched with the weight anyway), with coated metal wire, which at least means the shelf now moves upwards when I open the boot and I don't have to balance it on the top of my head. But again, it's just moving the problem onto another area at the rear. No one seems to do Stealth Shelfs anymore for Corrado's, and again I would still be left with supporting the weight. Obviously the simplest answer is to take out the speakers, but they do make a great sound. Help??

Still a bit of a Corrado virgin and need some advice. I bought a 1991 G60 a few weeks ago and I am working my way through the list of jobs to do. It was MOT'd just before I picked it up and I had it serviced at C&R Enterprises last Monday. One of the problems they mentioned is that my intercooler outlet is blocked with road debris and they told me that it needs an inner arch mesh screen. The only problem is that they didn't say what size mesh I would need, ie. does it need to be very fine, like an air filter or can I use larger S/S meshing like for a grill? Is this still something I can get off the shelf and fit myself? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :?
